safc, thank you again. I just went to make a cuppa to keep me going here (nearly 11pm in Aus). As I previously mentioned I haven't done anything on my tree for a few years now, and have decided to keep growing the branches! I will fill in all this information now. Many thanks.

Emily was single when she married Roger Allanson so evidently Percival was illegitimate:

Hmm, I am speed reading here! Am I right in understanding Emily was Emily Day. But it has Percival's father was Richard Benson Day - both surnames Day? Or is it possible the father was just Richard Benson?

Yes that looks to be him. I was just starting to look that marriage up, you are a genius and so quick! I am really a novice at all this but plod through. So now I have proof of the Benson middle name. And yes, all the family situations were at St Cuthbert's, Lytham. Thank you so much.
