Kingston is in Kent NOT Surrey and Hanworth is in Berkshire NOT Middlesex What are they on ??? Also I have corrected about 20 names on there as well today!! It makes finding people so so so much harder - doesn't it!!! Best Wishes Tammy Those are only the ones I have found so far.

i finally found a family on ancestry in woburn, herefordshire except woburn's in BEDFORDSHIRE. no wonder they were so hard to find!! it was down to the transcriber (no offence to any transcribers) but when i viewed the image it definitely said BEDS.

There are so many transcribing errors on ancestry it is unbelievable. Surnames and places, and yes it does make it more difficult to find who you are looking for. Vanessa

I have failed to find quite a few of my rellies on there, even those that I had already found on 1837Online or elsewhere. The transcription errors are horrendous. I think that the transcription was possibly 'outsourced' abroad and the people who did it had no knowledge whatsoever of British geography or names.
