I have failed to find quite a few of my rellies on there, even those that I had already found on 1837Online or elsewhere. The transcription errors are horrendous. I think that the transcription was possibly 'outsourced' abroad and the people who did it had no knowledge whatsoever of British geography or names. |

There are so many transcribing errors on ancestry it is unbelievable. Surnames and places, and yes it does make it more difficult to find who you are looking for. Vanessa |

Kingston is in Kent NOT Surrey and Hanworth is in Berkshire NOT Middlesex What are they on ??? Also I have corrected about 20 names on there as well today!! It makes finding people so so so much harder - doesn't it!!! Best Wishes Tammy Those are only the ones I have found so far. |
