George Davenport c1856 all census records say he was from Camberwell but I can't find him can you help? |

Do you have a certificate with his name on it, or have you just got his name from censuses? Because it could be that George was his middle name or a nickname if you only have him from censuses. Kate. |

It wasn't compulsory to register births until the 1870s so there's a posssibility that he wasn't registered. Heather |

there is a death for a George Davenport in Wandsworth 1925 aged 72 which means born C 1853 I think that could be the right district December quarter 1D 686 |
