On one of the census records George has a middle initial H. Could this be the right birth record? Davenport, George Henry Dec Qtr 1854 Lambeth Vol 1d, pg 325 Rose

there is a death for a George Davenport in Wandsworth 1925 aged 72 which means born C 1853 I think that could be the right district December quarter 1D 686

have his sons marriage cert and previous census records thats all!! :O(

It wasn't compulsory to register births until the 1870s so there's a posssibility that he wasn't registered. Heather

Do you have a certificate with his name on it, or have you just got his name from censuses? Because it could be that George was his middle name or a nickname if you only have him from censuses. Kate.

there is no george davenport born that year in camberwell.where is camberwell

George Davenport c1856 all census records say he was from Camberwell but I can't find him can you help?
