Yes Dea, I am thinking of running a technophobs pc class - that is one of the terms I shall be printing on to the little exploded diagram of a pc! Thing is I read somewhere that emotionally everyone has a stop point where they plateau - I think that was about 13 years old for me. I still use very (juvenile) visual terms for everything - which annoys my husband but made me a fun mum I guess - Bless them, the boys (25 and 20) still refer to bakewell tarts as 'titty cakes' without any embarrassment! |

Heather - I JUST HAVE TO SAY - I LOVE your terminology - It fits very well with mine - The 'Coffe cup holder button' - WONDERFUL. , AND I remember lots of your relatives were afflicted by 'persistent hideyness' - PRICELESS. (just like mine!) You always make me smile. Dea XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXxxxxxxxx |

Heather Sometimes does that if you have left a CD or a Floppy in when you last turned it off....will then ask you to run scandisk. Also if you don;t shut down properly Jen |

Sounds like it's on its way out. I'd back everything up, just in case. |

Was on here, went off (to do some work!) for an hour, come back, switch on and get Boot disk failure, insert disk. I just turned it off, switched on and its back to normal. But what does this signify??? Frightened the life out of me, thought my best friend had died on me. |
