Trying to find birth of Emily Harriet monks who possibly married someone named speak before marrying james Heaton in Burnley in 1915. Can find no sign of her. There may be Yorkshire connections. James Heaton was born 1885. :-)

The speak g gentleman may have been henry. If I could maybe find her in 1911 census that might give me a clue. In Burnley hopefully. Or Yorkshire. :-S

The dodgy birthplace for her on the 1911 census is probably this:

Although the father's first name is different to that on the 1857 marriage for Harriett, this seems too much of a coincidence not to be her first marriage:

Here's a different version (FindMyPast) of the 1911 census which shows more detail than that from Ancestry:
1911 England, Wales & Scotland Census Transcription 3 Healey Court Burnley, Burnley, Lancashire, England
Household Members First name(s) Last name Relationship Marital status Sex Occupation Age Birth year Birth place
Henry Speak Head Married Male Machine Oiler 31 1880 Clitheroe Lancs Emily H Speak Wife Married Female - 22 1889 Plavarem Madras India Amelia Speak Daughter - Female - 2 1909 Madras India Florence Speak Daughter - Female - 0 1911 Burnley Lancashire Wallace Barkley Boarder Single Male Labourer 29 1882 At Sea
Henry had inadvertently put the 5 years married, 2 children born and living next to his own name when it should have been recorded against Emily's.
He was a machine oiler working for a cotton manufacturer.
