	Thank you very much for looking Maddie. She is one of those I put on the back burner and every so often I fire her up again. And get frustrated all over again!!! I thought I would give it try on here to see if there was something I was missing. Oh well.............so frustrating! :-\|

	Have you checked out the 1888 marriage in Southampton for Mary Elizabeth to John Bound or Charles Cook? They may have misheard her name...

	there are no births in hampshire for mary elizabeth porter that could be the marriage to charles cook in 1888 so flip could be right about them misheard her name

	Interesting thank you Flip. However, I am not seeing an appropriate 1891 census that fits the details for a Maria Bound or Cook. No deaths showing either for a Maria Bound or Cook between 1888--1891.

	Unfortunately, that's not her. That Maria Porter is listed as "wife", and is from Coventry.

	I appreciate your input Yvonne...........however....... Without purchasing copies of the Porter/Cook....Porter/Bound marriages, there is no way of knowing how old Mary Elizabeth Porter was when she married, who her Father was, and whether or not she had been married before.

	Think you can rule out Bound, I think he's a storekeeper with wife Eliza in 1891.

	Hi Eringobragh and thank you. I'm not seeing a Maria Larkin or Prior in any census records. No appropriate deaths registered between 1882 and 1891 either. Edit: Just found the parish record for Henry William Prior to Maria Elizabeth Porter. Father.......Eason Porter. :-(
