Hello Wendy,
To go back with any certainty you really should start by buying a copy of the marriage certificate to see who her father was and see what his occuption was. It will also give you her address at the time of marriage which may also help to confirm some of the info found above.
Without it, it will all be speculation.

Thank you all so very much for all of the above. There's nothing fishy about this post at all.

Lena is my 'mother in laws' mother and died in Surrey about 1983. My mother in law has mentioned Melbourne, Austrailia.

She married in UK to George Hebburn and had several daughters (Janet, Daphne, Alma, Brenda, Francis and Ruth). I think there was a son but have no information on him.

As my mum in law doesn't have much information about her mother and father's family I thought I would try on here. I also want the information for her son so he too has an insight into that side of his family as his mum gets a bit confused (bless her). Otherwise he won't know any history aboout his family, I'm doing his mums side then I will need to try and find out about his dads side of the family as well as they are also a mystery.

Could be that Agnes Ada Samsa, went to Australia, got married to a Mr. Perkins over there and when she found out she was pregnant, came back to England to give birth to her daughter (Lena Alice)

You will probably have to buy the birth certificate to see the parents names, which is really the only way to confirm, or discount , the information found.

There was a Agnes Ada Samsa born 5/11/1889 Hendon.

Ada A Samsa arrived Australia 27/2/1911.Left London says she was born Middlesex.

Mrs A A Perkins arrived London Oct 1911 from Sidney on SS Suffolk alone.

This could be the mum of lena,if somone could check for a marriege in Australia.
I can't find death or remarriage for Mrs A A Perkins.

The man Lena married George Hebburn 23/10/1910 died Surrey 1997.
