Awwwwww Heather, I'd show ya how to use MSN if ya wanna know. I used to think your abbreviation was Hx till I realised it was H for Heather with a kiss .. hahaha Mary will be donning her gold digging clothes, wish we could spy on her in case she pockets some nuggets we don't know about - oooops oh hi Mary .. pmsl Very sad about Mark Porter. .. My son told me about it at lunchtime today - but I don't think it was announced till much later on account of the race (I've been out tonight). Me off to bed too - I'm tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiired *yawn* Nite all Jood

Signing out for the evening Welcome home Vonny - hope the weekend was great - we missed you on the word threads too. Jood - OH had a Holden Kingswood and he never stopped raving about it. Then he started buying Fords because he didn't think the holdens were up to scratch any more. He says our latest - a Ford Fairmont - is the best car he's ever had - even better than the blessed Kingswood. So that's praise indeed! Congratulations Tony for your prowess at colouring in between the lines. You have passed Grade 1! Shame about your poor taste in cars! Queenie - aren't you lucky to have an understanding woman to check out Ikea with. Men are just hopeless at shopping. Heather - I agree about Bobby - he's so different and so musically savvy and he's too good for Idol. I just hope it gives him the exposure he needs to get into the industry. I think it's ridiculous the way they expect the likes of Bobby and Damien and Lisa to do rock and disco which are not suited to their voices or style. However, Bobby is clever enough to do his own thing with the various genres and get away with it. I felt so sorry for Damien and LIsa tonight. At 16 it's pretty hard to take that sort of criticism. I hope she has a strong self esteem. Glad to hear your daughter is having a good time. I wonder if Miss Mary has found any gold yet? She's probably keeping it quiet if she has as there are already so many claims on it! I'm off to finish my book. Sweet dreams everyone XX Anna

Hi All, Well what a weekend. Good Bathurst today tinged with sadness, so pleased Craig Lowndes won, I really like him (dunno what car he drives lol), the Brock memorial was touching. Now I hear that Mark Porter died – we had heard on Friday night that he was on life support, so not expecting much, but when he got through yesterday I was feeling hopeful again (OH watches the kiwi drivers quite closely). Gold Star to Tassie Dev who must be EXHAUSTED after driving all day! Gold star to Grandpa Tony for colouring between the lines ! Gold star to Mum Jood for visit from grown-up son who loves his mum, his kids and his job. Gold star to Lara finally AT HOME – I know unpacking and cleaning isn’t all that much fun, but still it must be nice to be home…. And if anyone cares, Bobby Flint for Idol, he’s a musical phenomenon. Plus, I got some Lost Cousins posted so that was good, but by 1881 I don’t think there were any viable families of mine left alive in UK – the ones who emigrated sure proliferated, and the ones left behind petered out into aged spinsterhood!!! LOL. Now what I need is Lost Cousins 1851 !! I’m tired tonight, and I’m missing my girl. One of her friends rang me last night, she’d had a short chat on msn ( OK I know, I should learn how to do msn) and said DD15 had a really nice family with one girl only, and that she was loving attending the school in Shohei. This weekend they are in Hiroshima and Kyoto. I am hanging out for lunchtime Wednesday when the bus gets back to the school. Even the cat is wandering around the house plaintively…. ‘night all, Hz

You're a scream Fanny ! Old fart (or was it tart) indeed - yerra yungster! Well Tony - I'll have you know I've got a Ford (flawed my foot!) and its the best car I've ever had - had a mini van, mini, Suzuki Swift, Ford something (only reason I didnt like it was it was a 4door, and too big to park) - then a Daihatsu and some other car. The Ford is very strong and I feel very safe in it. You probably had the greased hair and the pointed shoes to go with ya Holden Mate??? .. pmsl .. Can just see you!!! .. Chattin up all the girls as well! I'm a good color-a in also, never go out the lines! Welcome home Vonny - missed you over the weekend, especially when the Lotto was drawn. Jood

Dear Santa, i have been good, just ask my mum... i loved those letters and they always got replies. Napthalene flakes are moth ball flakes, sprinkle them round to keep cats and dogs off your garden. Don't know if it works. Old wives remedy. i can say that seeing i'm not an old wife, just the ol' tart. love Yvette x

Hi Wattlers, Its great to have my pc up and running again it has been out of action, we think we coped a virus or something and was hard to get everything right again. Also had a busy few days with this and that, had grandkids visit and other visitors. Too much to catch up on, hope all the unwell peeps are feeling better. It was very hot first thing then about 11am the southerly came through and it's been blowing ever since, very uncomfortable. Tony talking about census returns, I once had one that said son of latter, couldent fathom that out because at the time I dident know the man had been married before and the son was of the first wife. well time to catch up on emails ect so will catch up tomorow. Cheers Sandra in the Gong.

I swore I wouldnt watch - didnt know one car from another let alone one driver from another! .. Only watched the last few minutes and it was exciting tho I wasn't barracking for anyone. .. I shed a tear together with Lowndes, it was very emotional! .. Guess whose got a FORD car. Incidentally the plane that went down out of Bathurst, my son took a picture of the countryside, and you could see the smoke from the plane, they say you can see it at night time. .. I dont know if they have reached the plane yet. .. They had to cut a road through the bush. I know what you mean Trifley - men don't have the same feeling for IKEA as we wimmen do .. lol Jood
