Aaaaw - thanks Jood. Isn't it a little ripper? Did you have a glory box when you were a girl? I didn't - although as my Nanna used to say 'I had a few things put by me' but once I got engaged I used to love scouring the shops for bits and pieces. Some things don't change!! XX Anna

Morning dear Wattlers Oh dear - I see I went to bed too early last night and missed out on the sing -along! Oh well - don't want to be left out so here's my favourite Gracie Fields number. Horseshoe for luck Pail for the muck All packed up in me little bottom drawer. There's a piano Under the staircase And I'm teaching meself to play the maiden's prayer. If me plans all go to pot I can sell the bloomin' lot All packed up in me little bottom drawer. I wish I could remember all the words - can't find it on the net. As you can tell, Shazz, I'm well qualified to judge Idol! I've just been invited to a Melbourne cup party - seems scary to think that the Melbourne cup is just around the corner. Vonny - sorry to hear that you're playing nurse - hope they're feeling better soon. Waves to everyone else - have to go down town. Luv Anna Tassy - ((((Hugs))))) My boy is 31 and I still beat myself up about him. As Laurie says, we can't live their lives for them, but it's so hard to stand back and watch them make mistakes.

Good morning Wattlers, nice looking day on Botany Bay . . The sky is blue, with a few fluffy whites, and a little windy again this morning - but nothing compared to yesterday. 4 giraffes stretched high in the sky, and nice comfortable temp. I have to collect family from the airport soon so will be short msg. Hope the family are OK Vonny . . . good excuse for Nanna duty. Ah Devily . . . I've had 17yr old son . . . two in fact, and both cases lasted for a whole year !! Now come on girl, he has been on his own so to speak for a while now, you just have to let him make his own choices and live with the consequences . . . He is going to anyway, whatever he is up to - nothing you say or do will change it - so why stress yourself! Take a few steps backwards and thank god he isn't twins!! (done that a few times) I suppose since the ex moved to the mainland you are carrying all of the load. ((HUGS)) REMEMBER . . . today is one of a kind . . . there is never ever another 9th October, 2006 . . . so give it everything you have!!!! Cheers luv Laurie XO

Funny you should ask about Mel jood, was just checking out the tips boards in case she has been on there, was also thinking as to why Louisa from Hawksbury hasnt been back on either, we must be too old for them chickens to associate with hee hee Shaz

Judy Report 8 Oct 2006 22:24

Forgot you were away Shaz, and would have rung you up to see how you were today. .. Nice to see you back anyway. What happened to Roz, Lew, is she still in touch with you? and Shaz, what about that other girl from Winmalee??? ..Maybe we are too much for them ! .. pmsl Funny looking day outside, it sort of looks warm, but the clouds in between the blue sky are a suspiciously grey in parts. .. Not a breath of air around, but it's cold inside the house. Honey Rum sends her love to all. .. It will be another 12 months before she manages to get her - in October. Not a 'big' day out for me Fanny, just a committee meeting and then my last chook feeding job. Have a great day all Jood

Here's one for that sheila who lives in Yarrawonga....hee hee Now digger was a soldier and he sailed across the sea, with the first Anzac brigade And Digger was soldier as brave as one could be and a grand old name he's made From the landing at Gallipoli till the war clouds left the skies He wandered around the Con-ti-nent a tourist in disquise. Then after years of battling when three parts full of lead the M.O said we'll send you home T'was then ol digger said. I'm going back again to Yarrawonga In Yarrawonga I'll linger longer I'm goin' back again to Yarrawonga where the skies are always blue And when i stand again in Yarrawonga Il'e soon be stronger than ol Mahonga You can have all your Ten-nes-see and Car-a-line France an Belgium thrown in,take the whole lot for mine I'm going back again to Yarrawonga and the land of the Kangaroo....I'm going Roo Me dad played it on the Banjo. The song was written in 1919 the same year he was born. Tony Oz..:>))) New i had the lyrics somewhere

Yes Tony, I'm still aboot . . . and talk about PMSL . . . I am actually sitting here going through my Dad's CD collection . . . and haveing the biggest laugh getting the lyrics to some of the songs that were his all time favourites . . . . Gracie Field Lyrics - The Biggest Aspidistra In the World Lyrics For years we had an aspidistra in a flower pot On the whatnot, near the 'atstand in the 'all It didn't seem to grow 'til one day our brother Joe Had a notion that he'd make it strong and tall So he's crossed it with an acorn from an oak tree And he's planted it against the garden wall It shot up like a rocket, 'til it's nearly reached the sky It's the biggest aspidistra in the world We couldn't see the top of it, it got so bloomin' high It's the biggest aspidistra in the world When father's had a snoot full at his pub, 'The Bunch of Grapes' He doesn't go all fighting mad and getting into scrapes No, you'll find him in his bear-skin playing Tarzan of the apes Off the biggest aspidistra in the world We have to get it watered by the local fire brigade So they put the water rates up half a crown The roots stuff up the drains, grow along the country lanes And they came up half a mile outside the town Once we hired an auditorium for a hot house But a jealous rival went and burnt it down The tom cats and their sweethearts love to spend their evenings out Up the biggest aspidistra in the world They all begin meowing when the buds begin to sprout From the biggest aspidistra in the world The dogs all come around for miles, a lovely sight to see They sniff around for hours and hours and wag their tails with glee So I've had to put a notice up to say it's not a tree It's the biggest aspidistra in the world teeeeheeee And they called our music BAD !!! luv Laurie (who only has a small Baileys - not out of the Lara bottle)
