Zzzzzz I still wake up at silly-o-clock!

Years of getting up at 5.30, and tip-toeing around so I didnt wake anyone else.

I was taking the dog out for a pee at 6am.

Only me and the other daft dog walkers around at that time. :-D ;-)

Good morning all, a sprinkle of snow overnight but just frozen on roofs and tops of cars now and that is melting, 0 degree here at the moment

Since being on my own I wake up at all odd very early hours. It is a good nights sleep for me if I wake up at 0600.

I don't think I will be going far either today. might have to resort to the dreaded HW.

Morning all, I have just put the bins out and it's a bit chilly out there. I am now thawing out with a hot coffee :-D

Morning all.

I wake early, no matter what time I go to sleep.
It comes from getting up with OH, when he used to commute to London.
I don't mind that at this time of the year though. It seems to be a bonus part of the day, when most people are still asleep.

I often make use of our cheaper overnight rate of electricity and put a wash load in the machine.

HW :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 I shall have to sit down at the very thought of it :-D :-D

Good morning all

A light snow covering overnight,it's a cold and frosty morning I've been and deiced the bird baths and pleased to be inside with a hot drink to warm me up. Wrap up warm if you're going out and stay safe.

Afternoon peeps
Well we still have a covering of snow and a few flurries so here's hoping it will melt away soon.Im not going out anywhere thankfully as it's here and car windscreen is still covered in snow.
Tel the garage to book car in for a main service, oil change etc and were so busy I have to wait til 10 May!

I also phoned hospital for appointment for my steroid jags in my thighs.Firs5 appointment 5th May!
Have I missed something ladies, what's the dreaded HW?

Dermot have you ever heard the expression"shivering with the
heat."?
Wish I could get the laundry outside but think I would need a hot water bottle inside my jacket!
Keep warm all.

HW really! I am in total shock :-0 . Do a little everyday just to show willing. :-D

No snow here but still very cold, have put some washing on the line as it is breezy out there as well so it may dry and just need a short burst in the dryer to finish off .

Other than that I am staying in and plan to do a little research on my 2x granddad so I can get his year of death.

Have a good afternoon everyone.

Joan I am sure that your baby knitting is much more enjoyable for you than doing housework so keep it up. I like liver, trouble is ordering on line I can't get a small portion suitable for one and the ones they send are too big for one.

JustG I do the minimum, have to say being on my own now, the house doesn't get untidy or very dirty.

House work..lol I do it everyday just to try and keep busy.
This house is a very dusty place so almost a daily chore.

No more snow and garden looks greener than yesterday.Chopped up some apples that had gone very soft for the birds.
Love watching them from the sitting room window.
The seagulls don't get a look in..lol

Lock down, no visitors indoors.
Surely washing up and laundering smalls are the only essential HW items?
:-D

Florence, I did some dusting once and the dust came back!
I'm not falling for that again.
:-D

LindainHerriotCountry Report 7 Apr 2021 16:35

Tut, housework is essential. I can’t stand a mess, I like everything clean and tidy. Once things are clean, it takes very little time to keep on top of it. My sister lives in a muddle and doesn’t clean often. She then wonders why it is such hard work when she needs to do it.
I went for my usual walk this morning, it was extremely cold, so I have been pottering this afternoon. I have a crustless quiche in the oven with some breakfast potatoes ( potatoes, onion, peppers, mushrooms, cooked a tray with a small amount of chicken stock). Green beans as well, so a syn free meal worthy of my Slimming World life style

Ginnie, I prefer a good muck out to flitting about with a duster, I can see results better then :-D
