Hi All--just as hot here---what's this seem's we all had bad sleep --me toooo

Had nurse in to take some blood from OG --much better than trying to get him to clinic--legs not to good ------Done a wash--must do a quick hoover-& mop---that;s all for me to-day-and lunch----
There was a char lady I would see evey day on my way to school--must have wieghed all of 100lb small and wore flat black velvet pancake hat--with large hat pin.--she washed marble front enterance of Jewlers shop on hand's & knees--carried her own bucket & scrub brush--

the char had one of these gray color wrap around tie in the back pinny---

A friend of mine and her OH went on the Orient Express a couple of weeks ago for his 50th.It was just a short trip from Plymouth to somewhere and back and they had a fantastic 4 /5 course meal silver service.She said it is not cheap but a wonderful treat for a special occassion.I think they do this from various places in England.

No Maureen again today.I'm wondering if something has happened with her Mum.She PM'd me the other day and said how ill she was.

I feel quite tanned,but my legs never seem to go brown.I have watered half the garden,and need to get the other half done.It takes so long,and when I do it I have a barking jumping Chester trying to grab the end of the hose lol.

Not sure how those trousers are Ann .They are on the line and I have a feeling they could be a bit patchy.But will have to wait until they are dry.

Going to get a nice chilled glass of wine now .

Ah David ! it is a terrifying thing getting married.I remember arriving at the Church and my lovely Dad was stood there in his tails and hat.He looked so nervous it made me cry lol.I walked down the isle with tears running down my face.Goodness know what it did to my makeup.My wedding dress is in a box on top of my wardrobes.I don't know why I keep it really as no-one will ever wear it again.I don't even think it has been out of the box in 29 years.

Ellen was very happy, her parents were very happy, my parents were very happy , my brother the best man was very happy etc
I was truthfully scared!
The vicar was bathed in sweat like he had malaria.
Ellen had 2 bridesmaids. One a nurse she worked with, the other her niece
Ellen didnt look at me during the ceremony. We had rehearsed it and I'd got my words mixed up and she couldn't stop laughing.
But, we got through it and are still together 30 years later.
Ellen still has her wedding gown and the photographs..

I am a danger to myself, this morning I put up the sun umbrella, and one of the struts had come loose, so out comes the steps, I managed to fix it, but nearly fell of the Blood# things, Madam went berserk, and made me promise I won't go near steps without her being there. I have managed to plant another grow bag with tomato's this afternoon, even though I was in pain. Can't let these things stop me from doing jobs !!!!

Mandy ,we all seem to be having our anniversary's around the same time.Which one is it for you ? I know you have said ,but I've forgotten .I could have done with some kind of pool to slip into today.Phew it was hot.
FRANK you are a walking disaster lol.It really might be worth just having that finger checked out.
Some years ago OH and daughter were messing around in the garden and somehow he stood on her thumb.She says Dad you have broken my thumb.He says No it is just bruised!!!!!!.She went to school the next day and came home with a very bruised and oddly shaped thumb.Spent the next six weeks in plaster.She now is left with a very odd lump at the base of the thumb.Don't be bloody minded Frank ,if Ros thinks you need that finger checking out ...GO!!!

Night Night everyone.I am hoping I have stayed up late enough ,not to wake at midnight!!!I will read my book for the next half an hour .Have just popped up to the bedroom and Chris is asleep and he has ..............the fan on lol...Lovely !!

A very hot evening here tonight so just going in the shower to cool off before bed. Hope I sleep tonight as I don't think I can take two nights on the trot without much sleep.

Oh just before I go I meant to say the other day when I went shopping I saw one of those huge pipes you used to see that were very ornate with a flute on the top and a wire ball on the top. Think my dad told me once that they were stench pipes. You don't see them much now and I had forgotten all about them. They used to be painted green like the lamposts.

Morning All.
Here I am sat in bed with the laptop,cup of tea and a snoring chester plus a tiny spider that I just spotted disappearing under the H key.I hope it comes out and doesn't get right into the laptop and mess up the workings.
Chris has just gone to do the morning surgery,he should be home about 11 30.It looks another nice day,a little cloud around and a slight breeze which feels lovely through the window.I can hear the wind chime tinkling gently outside.

Grey skies this morning but still dry. Oh is out inthe garden mowing the lawns.

I slept like a log last night thank goodness.

Morning to all you nurses !!!!. The swelling has gone down on my hand overnight, still swollen but not as much. Right leg ,thigh and hip hurt like hell this morning, having a job to walk on it. I suppose it's the bruise coming out.

Mandy I remember June 1976, The local resavoir dried up and you could walk across it. I was working in a Car Showroom, during that spell, with no Air Con.

The scorching summer of '76 I was working in a garage driving an old hearse delivering parts and collecting parts from different places around Plymouth.It was unbearable.I was 22 and I can't think why I was there.I could have been waiting to start my Nursing Training.

Not so sunny here but feeling a bit muggy.I wonder if Mandy is standing in her pool?????.You could learn to swim in a pool like that Mandy lol

Shirl it seems like we are having the same weather as eachother these past few days.OH is mowing the lawn and has big wet patches all over his T Shirt.I am ironing with the big fan about 2 feet away lol.It keeps blowing the clothes as I try to iron them.
