********** A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARIE. ************ I just hope I am in time for the birthday day. Thats why I sent jennie wren, the message initially,in case I did not get here till later in the day. Seems to me that Sallie and I are alike,in more ways than just our liking for our tea.
Sylvia,I can see we are going to have to wrap you up in cotton wool, every time you go outside. Take it easy, and rest up a bit.
Liz even though you don't know if you are coming or going, please don't forget to pop back and see us sometimes.
Mmmm Marie that cake sounded delicious. I also hate getting water on my face whilst swimming. It always make me think I am going to drown. Doggy paddle and breast stroke are about my limit. Never been great at doing the crawl. My dad taught me how to swim when we were stationed in Malaysia. It was a lovely way to cool down out there. But as I have said before, our pools here are toooo cold for me.
Jean my lovelie, did your doctor give you anything for your stress. Or are you to manage it on your own. Mind you I am not surprised, what with the worry off D,and the noisy moo next door. She is enough to drive anyone to drink. lol
Well girls, surprise surprise, the county player was not playing for the opposition last night,at darts, anddddd we won 5-0. The semi finals are in two weeks time, and the finals are on the same night. Oh my gosh,we are up against the big girls now. And two off our team are away on holiday that particular week,so we have got to make do with to subs for the night. NOT good. But hey ho,I did not expect us to win last night,so who knows what will happen on the night.
Sallie you got that kettle on yet,i'm gasping.
Speak to you later. Love Mo xxx

Hello all, and thank you for the Birthday greetings, also the Mothers Day Greetings. I have been to gym to exercise classes and Christine my friend who is 77 yrs made us a lovely big sponge cake which we enjoyed with our coffee after our workout., it was delicious so fluffy and light with strawberries & cream so I will have to work very hard at water aerobics on Thursday. Hi Huia I hope you had a nice mothers day and thank you for the birthday greeting Sallie you did put my name on your greeting thank you. Sylvia sorry to hear you hurt your leg it's so easy to do. Liz you wern't late, today is my birthday & the time here is 2-35 pm. Liz I am sure the girl will seek out your company, because I dont think she will get much support from the future husband, he just sounds like his old man, nobody is important but them.I think she will probably need some support from you, depending on her mother, she may be ok ,& help her out, I cant see the marriage lasting. Hi Mo, & Jean, I hope you are well and go get them at darts Mo. Jean dont wear yourself out with all the card making. It is time I went and made myself a cuppa, yes I do also like my cuppa, no milk but 2 sugars, thank you. Mo I am not a water baby in fact I wont put my face in the water, I was never taught to swim as we lived out west of the great deviding range, in a very dry area of the State of Queensland, the only time their was somewhere to swim was when the local creek was in flood ,I taught myself how to swim backstroke. I need that cuppa, Love to you all Marie. ps opps nearly forgot Debbie Hello there Super Mum I hope all is well with you. LUV Marie.

Hi again,
Go on Mo your team can do it! You never know some of the other team members might have a bad night, especially ' her ' that once played for the county. I'll be thinking about you!
Jean, I was a bit concerned that we hadn't heard from you for a few days, but guessed that you were very busy making cards. How are you doing with them? Sorry to hear that you all have had to put up with another noisy night from her next door. Surely there must be something that you and your neighbours can do about the noise, as Mo suggested, maybe you might get somewhere if you all complained to her landlord. I hope all is well with J and D. Sorry that S hasn't been able to fly to Portugal today, let's hope that he'll be able to go on Wednesday and have no trouble getting a flight home when he's finished his holiday.
Going to do some cards now, so speak to you all tomorrow.
Love and best wishes. Sallie xxx

Good luck at the docs tommorrow Jean. I know I know,I am a wimp, but the team we are playing are really strong, and our team do not even meet during the off season to practise. They have got one woman who was a county player, and by golly, she could play on her own and still beat us. I think I will try and trip her up when she comes in,oooops sorry I didn't mean to sprain your wrist lady, will be my plea. Have you got your ear plugs yet,for when she next door starts playing up. If not I will send you some. Inconsiderate mare that she is. Have you and the other neigbours complained to her landlord yet. Got to go now,got to get ready. Love Moxxx

Hi girls. Liz,sorry I forgot you and IM INDOORS,are not wed. But you could still be a step grandma if you wanted, thats if you are allowed to be. I can't believe that your OH can be soooo horrid to you. Nasty piece off work. If only you could win the lottery, you would be better on your own,not having to wait on him hand and foot, with no appreciation forthcoming. Hi Sallie, yes I have got darts tonight. But I am not looking forward to it. We have got a very hard game in front off us. It's the sixes knockouts, and we are up against a very strong team. Still if we do lose,I will have a few weeks break from it,as our league season does not start till september. I will have to send Jean a p.m if we don't hear anything from her by tommorrow. It's a worry when we don't hear. I just hope that both off them are o.k. Love to all. Mo xxx

Hello Girls,
Liz, I feel sorry for the mum-to-be, as you say she's going to find it hard when the baby arrives. I hope that for both the baby and her sake, OH's son will take his responsibilities seriously. It sounds as though she would be glad of some knitted coats and maybe some hats, as you say it will be a winter baby so will need some warm clothes.
I hope all is well with Jean and her family. We haven't heard from her for a few days. Maybe she still can't stop doing her crafting, as we know she's got lots to do.
Mo, have you got a darts match tonight? If you have, hope your team will win. Good luck!
Got to go now ,as Alun needs to use the computer to order his repeat prescription online from our doctors.
Speak to you all later.
Love, Sallie xxx

Hi all,
I won't be step gran as we are not married and o.h. told me that I shouldn't interfere and try to take over, so sod him, sod them and they can get their own stuff. When I spoke to the girl as her partner was on the way home after telling us the news, and o.h. had rung her to say congratulations, I told her if she needed a crib she could borrow my pine one which is in the loft. They won't have lots of money to spare as they have a big mortgage and the wedding to pay for and she said she would have to go back to work, hopefully she can do parttime so they can afford things. She said she was going to go round boot sales etc. Anyway, she said thanks, she would bear it in mind, and said she would like some little knitted jackets as it's going to be a winter baby, Nov 4th) and her Mum, his Mum and her sister don't knit, I had said I do. The next day o.h. rang his son to ask him something and I thought I would just say to them not to get a secondhand car seat unless it is from someone they know as you don't know if they have been dropped or been in a bump already. When o.h. asked his son when he had finished the conversation, if I could talk to S. he asked his dad why? but did pass me over, I said what I had to say and that was it. Then o.h. said I should butt out as his son didn't was worried when I wanted to talk to the girl, why I don't know? He doesn't know she poured her heart out to me less than a year ago about the way he treats her etc etc and I didn't say anything to anyone about it, but did warn her at the time they were a funny lot. So as I say, I will wait and see what reception I get when we go to the meet the inlaws barbeque in 5 weeks time and if the son is snotty with me, and the girl ok, I will just leave it to her to call me if she wants the crib, or I will say I have changed my mind. She said she was planning to get a new car seat but I think she hasn't looked at things yet to see the costs as she is still so tied up with the wedding arrangements etc. It's going to be hard on her, the father to be works here in Norwich so has to leave early in the morning to cycle to the station and get a train here and cycle to his office, then the reverse in the evenings, getting home around 7 when he will probably expect his dinner ready and the house clean which happens at the mo. I am not sure he will understand a small baby needs bathing and feeding etc and if she is working part time too, she will be exhausted. He is already complaining, she told me, cos she is tired and goes to bed at 9pm! A chip off the old block there I think, self, self, self, but not my problem, I am staying out of it now. Son also complained that his father and grandfather didn't seem very excited at the news, he said they were nondescript about it, he is not the most articulate person himself. Grandfather said What did he expect, cartwheels? lol Oh life is going to be such fun, not!

Back with my counsellor today so hope I can start getting somewhere, have to miss a week when there is a bank holiday as she only does Mondays. Lizx

Hi all. Yesterday was our mothers day. We are a day ahead of America and Canada. I have never gone in for mothers day. My mum always said she had a perfectly good day of her own (her birthday) and if we couldnt remember her then, then she didnt want us loving her to order of businesses. I did buy a rechargable shaver yesterday - for Phil, though. But I bought a couple of pots of daffs in flower for myself as I love them and mine wont start flowering for a couple of months yet.
Off to visit my sister and her OH this morning, he is one of those people who forwards jokes which have been forwarded to him, with lots of addresses showing. I think he now realises why he should use BCC and delete any addies that are showing before forwarding ones he has received.
Huia.

Hi Everyone,
Can I just say a belated Happy Mothers Day to Marie, Sylvia and Huia. I haven't been feeling too good over the last few days, with a cold, coughing and aching, feel a bit better today, but if doesn't clear in the next day or two I'll have to try and see the doctor.
Sylvia, thank you for your condolences. My cousin's funeral is on Thursday, so Alun has booked a day off so that we can go to it. With it being in Bristol, it means we'll be out most of the day. I didn't realise that you had had a mastectomy, it was a good thing that you had the mammogram when you did. I was amazed that within six weeks of you finding out, you had a mastectomy and were able to come to the UK, as you had planned. Had I been in your position, I too would have had a mastectomy. Hope MJ's tummy troubles are better, bless him.
Mo, it's so annoying that it came to rain after washing your curtains--- I bet it would have stayed dry if you hadn't washed them. That's happened several times to me in the past, so I know how you feel. Pleased to hear that your nephew didn't have a brain bleed, lets hope that he will now get better and that the cancer will never come back. Hope both you and Roly are okay.
Jean, I'm really sorry to hear the news about D. Let's hope that these new tablets will work for her. D is like Jennie, don't say anything not to worry us, but as you say we then get lulled into a sense that all is well with them. Alun is like J, he get's very upset when Jennie tells us when things are not going well-- he wishes he could have it instead of her. Jennie is still waiting to hear about an appointment with the Rheumatologist, goodness knows when that will be.
Liz, so you are going to be a stepgrandmother. As Mo said, you'll have to get out the wool and knitting pins or crochet hooks. Is your OH pleased about the news?
Huia, I hope you have been able to sort out the scam problem you had. It's good that you know quite a bit about, on how to sort it out---I wouldn't have a clue what to do, it's good that Alun does. I hope that Phil was alright when you last visited him, and that he was also alert enough to know that you were there.
Marie, hope you are alright. You were saying about the rising cost of electricity and fuel, it seems as though it's the same in Oz as it is here. My friend Janet and I just can't get over how the prices have gone up, it seems as though they go up every week, and some things just don't go up by a few pence, but by 50-60 pence a time.
Thinking of Debbie, Ann, and all our absent friends.
Love and best wishes. Sallie.xxx

Good evening everyone. Where has everyone got to. I hope you are all well. Just an update on my nephew. He had got the results off his MRI scan, and thank the lord,he did not have a brain bleed. They say it's a reaction that can happen after the brain surgery. His steroids have been upped, and they have given him a medication to control the fits. It had to rain today didn't it. I washed a pair off bedroom curtains this morning,as it was quite sunny when I got up. I had them on the line for about an hour when it poured down. So they are drying on the clothes horse now. I hope to hear from you all soon. Love and best wishes Mo xxx
