Mo, I am so sorry to hear about your cat, what a shame and a shock for you that it happened so suddenly, you will miss her I know but it was the right thing to do as you would not have wanted her to suffer.
Sally that was a long shopping day yesterday, no wonder you were tired. Marie, yes still scrap booking when I find the time, still enjoy it and also making cards.
Jean I am sorry you were poorly on holiday, such a shame for you both. Hope you are feeling better now.
Mo, I am confused (normal state really), I thought your grandson was going to Lanzarote, was that the holiday that the hotel was overbooked? Anyway pleased to hear he is enjoying his holiday.
Sylvia, hope J gets her wrist sorted out OK and that they enjoyed their trip out.
Joyce, hope you have enjoyed your birthday with all your flowers and a happy anniversary for tomorrow.

Hello Girls,
Oh Mo, I'm so sorry to hear about your cat, bless her. We become so attached to our pets, because they bcome part of the family, so it's only natural to cry and feel very sad when we lose them. I hope your brother and his wife can sort out their differences, especially for the children's sake. I'm sure they must be upset about it all. At least your brother's got you that he can rely on, for somewhere to stay, until hopefully, he and his wife can can get things sorted between them both. It's good to hear from your grandson, that the hotel the family are staying in, is very nice. So lets hope it will continue that way for the rest of their holiday, and that the travel company will decide to keep them at that hotel. Beside the fact, that another hotel might not be so nice, they don't want or shouldn't have the inconvenience of moving.
Marie, yes I feel as though I've come a long way since January. Although, there were times along the way, that I thought that I would never ever, get better again. As I think I've said before, making cards has certainly helped me to help myself. If you know what I mean? I must admit though, your hobby of knitting, is far less messy than card making.
I hope our Jean is feeling a bit better now that she's home. I just feel so much for her, going through panic attacks and every other feeling that this illness deals out. At times it's like living in another world, from everyone else. It's deffinitely not a nice world either.
Joyce, I hope you've had a lovely birthdayday with Jan and all his family. You still have tomorrow to look forward to.
Liz, I also hope you've enjoyed your birthday too. Did you go where you wanted to and have a meal somewhere that you like eating at?
I hope that everyone else is alright. Take care!
Speak to you all tomorrow.
Love and best wishes. Sallie.xxx

Oh my lord girls, since I spoke to you earlier, we have had a crisis. My 17 year old cat vanished at dinner time, and we found her at tea time, huddled under the BBQ, howling out loud. I phoned the PDSA, and we rushed her straight up there. The vet had her in straight away. Then she told us that Misty had had a shock, and had suffered a heart attack, but that she also had a cancerous lump in her stomach. We couldn't understand why we had not felt it,but she said it was high in the abdomen, and we would not have felt a thing. She did say that with meds, they could get her over the attack, but with the cancer it was a different story. And they could not guarantee her not suffering another heart attack. So we opted for her to be put to sleep. It would not have been fair to put her through it all. So I am feeling very sad now. She has been a member of our family for 17 years now,and I will miss her.

Good afternoon everyone. Sallie you are certainly getting about now. I have had two txt's from my grandson from Spain. Apparantly the hotel they are in is really lovely. But this is only the beggining of the holiday, and by the end of it it all could change. I had a phone call from my brother this morning, things between him and his wife are not to good at the moment. So he has come to stay with us for a couple of weeks, so that they can both sort their heads out. It's such a shame,as he has two young children, and they are finding it difficult to understand why mum and dad are arguing all the time. As you can imagine it was panic stations here,as we have not quite finished decorating the spare bedroom out. So it was a question of quickly clearing the room, putting the curtains up, and making the bed up. At least he has got somewhere to rest his head.
I hope Liz and Dutch are enjoying their birthdays.
Hi Marie, good to hear from you. Hope things are still going along o.k down under. Are you still doing your aquaerobics. And are you still losing the weight.
I hope our Jean is o.k today (((((((((((HUGS FOR JEAN))))))))))) Love and best wishes to you all. Mo xxx

Hello Girls,
Late coming on here today, I was so tired this afternoon, that I had a nice nap. Alun and I went to Derby on the bus this morning, we got there before most of the shops had opened. So the first place we went, was to one of the indoor market's there----they have some lovely butcher shops there, so got a joint of pork for tomorrow. So by the time we did that, it was time to have a cuppa---so off we went to our favourite place, for one. Spent another couple of hours getting the things we went for, and then got the bus back to Ilkeston. So then Alun decided that we would get the few bits that we needed before getting the bus down. So as you can imagine, I'm well and truly 'cream crackered '.
Jean, I'm really sorry that you didn't feel well enough to enjoy your holiday. You have my sympathy, having those panic attacks. As you know I feel as though they have blighted my life for eighteen months, along with agoraphobia----although the counsellor told me, that it's part of one and the same thing. So Jean I really feel for you, and hope that maybe you might be able to see someone, if you can't overcome it on your own. I'll be thinking about you and I'm always here if you need to talk. Maybe later on, towards the end of the summer, you might feel better to cope with another holiday, just take things, a bit at a time. Hope all is well with J and D, and that they are both feeling okay. Sending my love to all three of you.
Marie, pleased to know that you've had your stitches out and that the green bruising is slowly disappearing. I hope all your family are okay. How is your new grandchild coming along? I hope that his mum is fine now. As Mo has said, I've been having some trouble with the messages that I have written. Sometimes, just as I've been about to finish writing a message to you all, it's been whooshed, for no reason that I can tell. It's so maddening after spending time writing it all, then for it to disappear before I can send it.
Dutch, what a lovely surprise to get two beautiful bouquets for your birthday, tomorrow. I hope it will all go well for you, and that you'll have a wonderful day.
Mo, I'm glad that I'm not the only one, losing my messages. Alun told me that I must have done something, because it wouldn't have just gone. But I know I didn't do anthing on the computer, to lose them, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it. lolol! Have you heard anymore from your daughter and family since they arrived at their hotel? I hope they found that it was all okay, and that the hotel is good. Tomorrow, I must do some ironing before I start on any cards, because once I start on those, I forget about all the houshold jobs that need doing. As Jean as said, I've become hooked on card making. I must say though, that I think making them , has helped me cope and get over the last six to seven months.
Liz, I've received your pm, thank you. Have you got anything planned for tomorrow? It would be lovely if you could go somewhere nice for a day out. I hope OH, wil suggest taking you somewhere, if it's only just out for lunch.
Ann, hope you are having a great weekend with the family.
Huia, hope all is well with you, and that you are enjoying the work at the Hospice Shop. Take care!
Sylvia, just in case you look in, I hope you are all having a great family get together. Sending MJ lots of hugs and kisses. xxxxxx
Debbie, hope the boys have returned home safely, and that they both had a great time with their friends. Hope that both Luke and Sophie are okay. It won't be long before you go away now, will it?
Take care everyone. I'll speak to you tomorrow.
Love and best wishes. Sallie.xxxx

Hi Mo
and everyone
The little family has borrowed our car and gone out for the afternoon ............ J has a physio appointemnt (her wrist is hurting), and then they will take rime to visit one of the lovely Japanese-style gardens we have on the unveristy campus.
Re posts disappearing as you are typing them ........... I've had that happen, both on here and elsewhere.
I think, only think, that what happens in my case is that the side of the finger tip catches the CTRL key ... and that whooshes it
The CTRL key on my keyboard is just underneath the SHIFT key at the left of the keyboard, and it is fairly easy either for part of my fingertip to catch CTRL or for my little finger to catch CTRL. I'm a 2 or 3 finger typist, so the little finger waggles around!

Hello ladies. My goodness Dutch your house must be looking and smelling like a florist shop. You lucky girl you,to be surrounded by such beauty, and scent. ********************************************************************************* ********************************************************************************* A HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DUTCH,AND TO LIZ, FOR TOMMORROW. ********************************************************************************* ********************************************************************************* Hello Jeanie my lovelie. I am so sorry you were not feeling to good during your holiday. Panic attacks are horrendous, and then to get a bout of the back door trots, and to top it all to hurt your back as well. What the ecky thump are we going to do with you. I am sure you will feel a lot more comfortable, now that you are home. We all seem to feel a lot worse when we are away,at least in the comfort of your own home, you can just strip of and lie in bed till you feel better. But if we are away,we feel guilty because our OH's are not enjoying themselves. Get some rest my love, and come back fighting.
Marie I don't know what is happening with this site. Both Sallie and I have had problems with our posts going missing, before we have had a chance to send them. It seems that genes are having quite a few hick ups just lately. It's good to hear that your bruising is now fading, and that you are getting back to your old self. It sounds like you are not having very good weather at the moment, with the frosts etc. We have been extremely lucky here in the south east, not to much rain, and lots of lovely sun.
Sallie you keep up that good progress, don't let it beat you. You have come so far.If panic tries to creep into your subconcious, knock it to the back of your mind and ignore it. I know it is not easy, but you CAN do it, as you have proved to yourself. I hope Jennie continues in a good way, now that she is no longer having the injections. They must think she is able to cope, or they would surely have given her something else to take instead. Fingers and toes crossed for her.
Hi Ann, Huia, Liz I hope you are all well. Love and best wishes, Mo xxx

Hello everyone, weare back. but alas Sallie it didnt go as expected , I wasnt to well before we went, we now think it was a bit too soon to go away, I had big panick attack just before we went , so we didnt pack all the stuff I intended to take,we had mixed weather, and on the days that were nice I couldnt go out because I had some sort of food poisoning, Like your Roly Mo,Jeff said it was just like taking the clear out stuff went on for 3 days.. I also hurt my neck , I thought it was too soft a pillow, but it gradually went worse so much so, it hurt when I walked, when we went over bumps ,but its almost gone now... I even went to a large craft shop and only spent £10. unheard of.... just couldnt be bothered... so we are glad to be home.... havent read all the thread so will have a look in later... sorry to be so miserable.... Sallie I am so proud of you what a change we see in you from when you first came on here, very well done, and the cards too. definatley hooked....lol... take care all
love Jean xx

Hi Ladies,
I'll try again! I'd almost finished replying to both Mo and Dutch's post, when the whole lot just whooooshed, again.
Mo, wonderful news about your nephew, I'm so pleased to hear that he is clear of that horrible disease, and I hope and pray that it will stay that way for him. Please would you give him my very best wishes, when you next speak to him. Also pleased to hear that all is okay with Roly. There's always something to worry about with families, isn't there Mo? I'm just hoping that Jennie won't have any flare-ups, now that she's off the medication. She would have been due for her injection today, if she was still on it, so we'll have to see how she gets on, from now on. Mo, it was great to be out on my own, without shaking and the feeling of panic, the only thing that I realised I was doing, was clenching my fists. As soon as I thought about what I was doing, I told myself that there was nothing to be frightened about, and just carried on with what I was doing.
Dutch, what on earth is your son playing at, he should be ashamed of himself, doing what he has done to both you and Jan. To think that he promised to come and pick up the rest of the tickets, so that he can pay the fines, and then not bothering to turn up, it's just not on. Where does your son live? From your message it sounds as though he lives in Holland, or maybe he's on holiday and has hired a car while he's staying there----but whatever, he shouldn't have given your address. Surely, his apology to Jan, should have meant something, but it obviously hasn't. Sorry Joyce, as Mo has already said it isn't anything to do with us, but we can't help being concerned for both you and Jan. Glad to hear that Tante Leen isn't too bad. Maybe you'll have some news over the weekend about Jan's, Tante Ria. Hope you'll get some good weather over the weekend, especially on Sunday. Speak to you very soon.
Love, Sallie.xxxx

Hello Sallie. I have had some brilliant news tonight, my nephew has had the all clear from the hospital. At the moment he is clear of cancer, but he has to have another scan in three months time. I can't tell you how relieved I am. Thank you for your prayers, and thoughts throughout this bad episode. Roly's colonoscopy was clear thank god Sallie. I hope and pray that Richard has some success very soon. It is so disheartening, when they get no responses from their job applications. Well done on managing to get out and about on your own. You have done so well, I am really proud of you love. Onwards and upwards from now on. You are a different person to the one who first started the counselling, not so long ago.
Dutch,I hope the eye test went well. I was reading on your thread about your son,and the parking tickets. I bet if you could get hold of him,you would box his ears for him. Have you informed the police that it is him that has got the car,and that he does not live at your address. How could he do that to you and Jan,how unfair of him. I know it is none of my business, but I do feel for you love. It's a worry you could do without. Love to you all. Mo xxx

Hello Ladies,
I hope that all is okay with everyone. It's been dry here today, but dull and cloudy---still it's better than yesterday, when we had rain for most of the day, also we had a couple of thunderstorms. Jennie and Michael's dog J, is terrified of thunder, they can't stop him barking, while it's on. As Jennie said, it'snot too bad in the daytime, but it's at night, because their next door neighbour has to get up for work at four in the morning, so they worry about J waking him. He's a pretty easy going chap, and has two dogs himself, but they still feel awful about disturbing him in the middle of the night.
Mo, how did Roly get on with the Colonoscopy? I hope it went well, and that everything was as it should be. I'm pleased to hear that your son has got a job back with the furniture firm he was with before. As you say, travelling to Orpington each day is a bit of a drawback, but at least he has a job. Richard still hasn't found a job, at the moment he's very disheartened. It would be nice if he got some replies off some of the companies he's applied to. I sometime wonder if half of the jobs advertised, exist at all. I can understand why the decorating has been put on hold. As we get older, we can't keep going as we did a few years back. Still, it will get done in time, I'm sure.
Liz, great to hear that OH has passed his exams, I bet he's pleased with himself. Please pass on my congratulations to him. I felt quite pleased with myself yesterday. First I went to Chloe's leaving concert, as it's her last day at infants schhol today, so I walked up to the school and into the hall on my own. After that I caught the bus with Chloe's mum, up to town, did what I needed to do there, and then went on the bus to Derby. I spent over two hours there, just went in two craft shops, which I was in for a good while, then went in for a cuppa before getting the bus home. It's over eighteen months since I've been able to do that, so I hope that I'll be able to continue that way, from now on.
Ann, enjoy your weekend with your daughter and son-in-law. It was a lovely surprise for both you and T. As you said, it's a rush to go and get some extra food in. We have the same thing with Richard and Christie, the trouble is, they like a lot of foods that Alun and I dont, so it's a bit of a pain knowing what to buy.
Sylvia, if you're looking in, I hope that you are having a lovely time with your family. Please give MJ lots of hugs and kisses, from me.
Debbie, is it today or tomorrow that Daniel and Matthew get home? I hope they both had a great week away.
Huia, have you started in the Hospice shop yet? If so, I hope it all went well for you and that you enjoyed meeting new people. Also hope that Phil was able to respond to you, when you last visited him.
Jean, is it tomorrow that you and J get home from Llandudno? I really hope that you a lovely week there, and that the break has done you both good.
Dutch, it's lovely to see you on here again. I hope all went well with the check up for your eyes. I'm sure it's been nice having Jan home early today---and even nicer that he's now off until Tuesday. Are you planning to go anywhere for your anniversay, on Monday? It would be lovely for you and Jan to have a day out together. Don't worry about not having a BBQ, I'm sure that whatever you have you and Jan's family will all enjoy themselves. Have you opened anymore cards and pressies, or have you saved them until Sunday? Have you had anymore news about Jan's two aunties? It's a worrying time for their families.
Marie, have you had your stitches out yet? I hope that you have and that the wound is healing well. Also hope that all is well with your family.
Alun was home from work early today, so that was nice. After we had a cuppa, he then had a short nap, and now he's playing with his train layout in the utility room. Boys and their toys! lolol!! I have a lamb casserole in the slow cooker, so until it's ready, I think I'll do a bit of card making.
I'll speak to you all soon. Take care everyone!
Love and best wishes. Sallie. xxx

Hi all
just added on Friendly thread so excuse me not writing it all again, so tired after a stressful week with dozy features and his course, thankfully he passed the exam so will still be employed, lol, couldn't put up with him around 24/7
Hope Jean has had a nice week and comes back feeling better and hope everyone has an easier time of things soon.
Had a natter with Dutch yesterday and with my lovely friend who called from Miami, she got mixed up over my birthday so called in case she had sent the card late, but no it's still on the way I think as nothing at my house when I went there. have a nice little bundle ready to open on Sunday unlike Dutch who has been naughty and opened almost everything that has arrived, even cards for her anniversary on Monday. You are a naughty girl Joyce, smacked hand for you!
