Mo, both my OH and our friend have flashes in their eyes mainly at night. The optician told them both the same. He sees several cases a week and it is the 'jelly in the eye moving. OH was told if it became constant though he was to go straight to A&E because that would be a detached retina. Intermittent is not a problem to worry about.

Mo, it's good to hear that there's nothing wrong with your son's eyes. As you said, it was such a worry considering that your nephew had a brain tumour. How is he getting on, we haven't heard anything about him lately? I hope that he is getting better.
Well done on winning at darts last night. I can imagine how thrilled you and your team were. It's good that I'm not in your team, because you certainly would have lost, lolol!!! I can't even throw a dart properly.
Joyce, if you're looking in, I'm thinking about you and your family.
We're going over to see Jennie now, so I might look in later .
Love and best wishes to everyone. Sallie.xxx

Hello girls. Well Jean I hope you put loads of dosh on that bet,coz we won last night 5-1 and we won the pairs 2-1. But I must hang my head in shame, I was bottom average. The most important thing though, was that I finished the most important game,to enable us to win the pairs. I must get more practise, or Jean will tell me of,for being bottom average, and I can't be having that. LOL
We took our son to the eye hospital today,re what the optician said was, maybe a detached retina. Well, the eye xray showed that he has nothing wrong with his eyes at all. It still does not explain why he keeps getting the white flashes in his eyes though. But at least it has put my mind to rest, after the worry with my nephew, and his brain tumour, being found by an optician. What I cant understand is, why was he given glasses initially,if he has perfect eyesight. Well thats my moan over with.
We have another lovely day here, the sun is shining, and all is peaceful with the world.
Sending love and thoughts out to Joyce. God bless you my love, and give you the strength you need to get you through this sad time.
I hope you are all well. Love and best wishes to you all. Mo xxx ((((((((((((HUGS FOR JEAN))))))))))))

Sorry girls if I seem down, but like everyone else, Joyce's news has really upset me. Her daughter was the same age as my eldest daughter, and I know how I would feel,if I was in Joyce's shoes. It is so so sad.
Well Jean, I will try my damndest tonight, in your honour. If I play rubbish, I will give you the 1p bet back, with interest of 1p. LOL I am pleased to hear that you are feeling a bit better, with taking the anti-biotics. Not long now before your holiday. You will have to leave the card making at home then. Or will you be making toppers whilst you are away.
Yes Sallie tonight is our first match. We have not had any friendlies at all, since the end of last season. So tonight,it will be like beginners starting again. I bet Alun and the others were cursing when they had finished the shed, and it was the wrong colour. All that hard work for nothing. But I suppose it will be a good undercoat for the shed. LOL
Well I am away to get myself sorted out now. Love Mo xxx

Jean, like you the news about Joyce's daughter has really knocked me today. Everything that I've done, I've been half-hearted about doing. Although I didn't know her daughter, I feel so desperately sorry for Joyce and her family.
Glad to hear that you are feeling better, and are able to get on with all your crafting.
I have a couple of birthday cards to make and of course a sympathy card, so I'd better try and get on with them.
Love to everyone. Sallie. xxx

Hi Everyone,
Mo, it's a lovely day here too, but no washing on the line, as I did it yesterday-----now I have the ironing to do. I hate that job, I'd sooner be making cards.lol!!
I hope you'll enjoy yourself tonight! Although I'm certain you will! Do you start playing matches tonight, or is just a friendly game to start with?
I hope your son will get on alright at the hospital tomorrow. As you say Mo, we can't insist on our grown up children doing what we think is best, but sometimes I wonder if they give some things much thought at all.
Sylvia, I hope that both you and OH enjoyed your weekend away. I know you won't be home until a lot later today, so have a safe journey.
Dutch, if you're looking in, I hope that both you and Jan are feeling better, whatever the bug is, it's a pretty nasty one.
I know that you were supposed to be coming over to the UK at the beginning of November, but I'm wondering if you'll have to come over sooner now, seeing what's happened.
I'm really sorry Joyce, you've had more than enough problems recently.
Jean, how are things with you, J and D? I hope that all is well. Also hope that the antibiotics are working, and that you are feeling better. Are you still busy making cards? I was too tired to make any yesterday, by the time I had done a bit of housework and cooked the Sunday dinner, I just didn't feel like doing anything else.
Alun spent yesterday morning, along with a few other members painting a large metal shed at the club. They use it to store all the paints and other things that can't be stored inside the club itself. The only problem is that the member that got the paint for them, bought the wrong colour, so they are now planning to get the colour paint they wanted, and spend next Sunday morning repainting it. So it looks as though it's another late Sunday dinner again next week.lol!!
Ann, I can see that you've been busy making cards, and if I remember rightly, you have a Scrapbook to make for your grandson. Good luck!
I have a Scrapbook to make for my sister-in-law and her hubby as a Christmas present, and also have a desk calendar to make for my brother, so I really must get on with them and of course the cards.
Tess, hope things are alright with you and your family. Like you. I was lost for words when I read Caz's thread about Joyce's daughter.
Huia, also hope that all is well with both you and Phil. Are you still working at the Hospice Shop? I expect by now that your weather is improving, I bet you're glad that summer's on the way, so that you can go for your walks again.
Hope Marie is having a great holiday. It can't be too long now before she gets home. I can't remember the date she told us.
I wonder if things are alright with Debbie and her family, it's a long time since we heard from her.
Well I'm going to start doing a few cards now, I'll look in later.
Love and best wishes. Sallie.xxx

Good afternoon ladies, from a glorious sunny day here in Kent. The washing is out blowing in the breeze, oooh lovely. Nice fresh smelling clothes when they come inside.
I do hope everyone is fit and well today, and enjoying the day.
The update on my sons eye, is that he has to go to the eye hospital, tommorrow afternoon. They wanted him to go today, but , he told them he has to work. I do wonder, why he chose to wait till then, when he have got it sorted today. Still he's not a child any more, and I can't insist can I.
Well our darts season starts again tonight. I am looking forward to my evenings out again, even though it is only one night a week. But during the off season I don't venture out at night. So wish me luck girls, coz I think I am going to need it.
I hope our Jean is looking in((((((((((HUGS FOR YOU JEAN))))))))) I miss you not posting very often. Love to J+D xxx
Love and best wishes to you all. Mo xxx

Hi Mo,
Like you I have just read the message that Caz has put on. It's such a terrible shock for her and the family.
Jan doesn't sound too good at all, I hope that they can get the doctor to call tomorrow, he's had this bug long enough. Also hope that joyce is starting to get better.
I haven't been on over the last few days because we've had expected and unexpected visitors, so haven't had a lot of time.
Joyce you are in my thoughts and prayers.
I'll say goodnight now ladies, speak to you all tomorrow.
Love and best wishes. Sallie. xxx

Good evening ladies. Sylvia, I hope you have a lovely time on Sunday and Monday. Mmm Roast turkey and all the trimmings lovely. Whose doing the cooking. Speak to you when you get back.
We were supposed to be having another lovely day today, but I don't know what happened to it. It's been very murky(sp) and dull all day. My daughter is of to Turkey on Monday, for a weeks holiday. Lucky girl getting away from here for a while. My son went to get his eyes tested today, as he has been getting white flashes in his eyes. The optician said he should be seen straight away at the hospital. They phoned all the local eye hospitals, and they were all shut till monday. They think he has got a detached retina. They said if it gets any worse over the weekend, he should go straight to A.E. Now if it is as bad as they say, surely they should have reffered him straight to A.E. I am totally confused with the way things seem to work. What does worry me, is that he has got to drive to work for the next two days. I just wish they has said to him do not drive until you have been seen by someone at the eye hospital. But then I may just be a worrying mum.
I hope you are all well, and are enjoying your weekend.
Thank you soooo much for the card Joyce. It is lovely, and was such a surprise. I know I should not have opened it yet, but I did wonder what it was, and who it was from. But I should have realised, when I looked at the stamp after opening it. I hope you and Jan are feeling better now,and that the bug has finally left you both.
I must go now, but I will be back to speak to you all tommorrow. Love and best wishes Mo xxx

Hi everyone
The weather has changed here, and is now definitely Fall ........ cloudy, rainy, cooler, etc etc etc We've been busy as you might imagine!! The flooring will be laid next Thursday. We went and picked the counter tops yesterday, ordered them, and the store estimates that they will be there around October 22, then we have to arrange for delivery here.
Our best friend will be 80 on Sunday, and is having an afternoon party. We're going over on the ferry (1 hr 45 minutes trip) tomorrow morning, and staying in a nearby hotel for 2 nights, probably going to their house on Saturday evening, and "oldsters" are also invited to stay for the evening after the party on Sunday. "Oldsters" meaning long-time friends, rather than aged friends! We return home on Monday afternoon. Monday is also Thanksgiving here in Canada ........ and therefore typically big turkey dinner, with all the trimmings.
Ours is about 5 weeks before the US Thanksgiving ...... ours is always on the second Monday in October, theirs on the fourth Thursday in November.
And I always take wicked delight in telling people that Canadian Thanksgiving pre-dates the US one by a couple of hundred years!
We won't get home until after 6 pm on Monday, so we're actually giving Thanksgiving the go-by this year!! But will enjoy the 80th birthday celebration, and meeting all our friends .... probably even more than a Thanksgiving Dinner!! Hope all goes well this weekend for you all.
Take care everyone

Sallie I agree what the others have said about Christie, but I also understand her anxiety about reporting it, after all her job could be at stake, but it is totally wrong there must be a way to make sure someone else is aware of the bullying... I think she needs to report it or at least write it down dates and all,
Ann, am I going to get a peep at your cards, we could do a swap...we have a sharing ideas club going now caz, sallie, joyce, and me, and mo likes to have a nosy now and then... poor old thing.... cant get her to do any though...unless she is a secret copier....lol...I am off to the docs this morning to have a word about the infection...
I wonder how Debbie is and her lovely family, hope we hear from her soon.
my other news is D had her graduation last friday, we all went , it was a very long day graduates came from all over the country it was packed and very few seats in the foyer , so it was standing up for a very long time, we had family pics taken and wasnt able to get any food just a drink... but it was worth it, we have threatened her no more ,, she is already looking at the masters degree, but it is very expensive, in the thousands....sadly I wasnt able do any photos myself, just nowhere to get them, we were up four floors in the gallery and the stage was tiny my little camera only has a small zoom, so not good , I should have taken D,s much better but never thought.... Jrff has to go for a cancerous mole to be surgically removed it is very close to his eye his only good one, the other eye hasnt worked properly since birth, so prayers, thoughts, fingers X ,would be gratefully recieved....well better go and get ready for the docs,
Love to all including our leader Mo. xxxxx Jean
