I want to order the birth certiicate of my gr gr grandfather Charles Enderby bn 1854, but i cannot find it on Freebmd. Is there any other way that i can find it, as i need to confirm his that his parents are who i think they are!! Thanks, Nicola |

I found my Great Grandmothers birth on there when I couldn't find her listed anywhere else, and a couple of marriages as well. |

I've also found people on 1837 online that I couldn't find on Free BMD so it is definitely worth trying especially if you know the year you are looking for. It gets a bit expensive if you have to search several years. Good luck. Mel |

You probably won't find a birth for 1854 on free bmd, nor will anyone else. That year is only 10% transcribed. Bob |

I still cannot find Charles Enderby on 1837 online, i looked through all the quarters for 1854, plus the last for 1853 and first for 1855. I don't know how else to find him! |

You could try the local registration office for that area. They hold the originals and all are not on the GRO/1837. have you got him on the 1861 census? He would only be six/seven. Bob |

Elton: yes, and his whole family was transcribed terribly! the surname was Eudbery, Etephzk not Hephzibah, Euanna instead of Emma, Downhen not Downahm! Bob: I don't have any 1861 discs, and asked for a look up, but not had any success, Thanks for your replies, Nicola |
