Please, if you have a subscription to ancestry UK, could you do me a huge favour?? I have a subscription to the UK and Ireland collection, and for several weeks now have been unable to view any of the Pallots marriage index. Could you please have a look on the said index and try and view an image? Please let me know if yours works! I typed in the random name "Frampton", the first record I get up is Jemima Abraham and Richard Frampton, I cannot view this (no change there then!) - can anyone? I have emailed ancestry as I get a message telling me I have performed an illegal operation, they advise it is a problem with my browser and to update it (which I have done). I think this is wrong, as whatever pc I use (and I have tried several) I get the same message. I think its a problem with my log in! Many thanks! You are all stars! Sarah |

Hi, did the same name as you and was able to click on the 'view image' - which shows a slip of paper with the two names handwritten on, which I think is correct (although I've not used this facility yet). So I think it is working ok for me. Hope they get it sorted. Mandy :) |

Thankyou again Mandy! Oh this is so frustrating! I'm off to empty my cookies now, and I will let you all know what happens! |

Well blow me! It worked! For the first time in months I have viewed a Pallots image! And a completely random one at that! Many many thanks, as I said you are all stars! Sarah (without cookies) |

Hi Susie, are you on the free trial or pay subscription? Only wondered if maybe you can't view pallots on free trial? If you're paying, have you tried emailing them? |

I double clicked on "my computer", then on "local disc C", then "documents and settings", then I have a file named "Sarah Whittle" - I assume everyone has a file in their own name- then "cookies". I then highlighted the cookies by clicking the 1st and last one (whilst holding down the shift key) and right clicked then clicked delete! I did it all whilst ancestry was open, I don't know if that makes a difference. I have also right clicked on my internet explorer icon, clicked properties, then clicked privacy and set it to high. I'm now viewing Pallots like a good un! Sarah |

It is easier to click on edit then Select All if you want to delete everything - it highlights them all for you. Particularly useful if you haven't done it for a while and you have lots to delete, as it means you don't have to scroll along to find the end one. |

You may find you need to do this the next time you want to view these images too. Your PC seems to remember some errors, and even though you have corrected to problem now, your PC may remember the error page and stiil go straight to it. I have this problem when viewing the pages from 1837Online Sam |

Hi to all you Ancestry subscribers, I wonder if you can help. I used their free 14 day trial, and cancelled it in good time. I was denied access so assummed the cancellation went through ok, although I never got a confirmation. This morning I find they have taken two seperate amounts from my Visa. I have written to them, but as yet not received a reply. Has this happened to any one else. Very annoyed Gina |
