There are usually four entries on a page. If there are less than that it means that the other partie(s) to the marriage(s) haven't been transcribed yet. |

hi norma ancestry only gives the 2 mens names as well, you could ask for an 1837 lookup on records, someone their may be able to help sandra |

Unfortunately 1837 won't help as that was before they started to put the partner's name against the entry. |

Hi, Ancestry and freebmd are the same but freebmd is slightly ahead in transcribing. If it isn't on freebmd it won't be on ancestry. Gwynne |

Hi I just tried http://www.lancashirebmd.org.uk and found Lancashire Marriage indexes for the years: 1880 Surname Forename(s) Surname Forename(s) Church / Register Office Registers At Reference RAWCLIFFE Joseph HORNBY Mary Anne Poulton-le-Fylde, St.Chad Fleetwood & Fylde FJ/2/147 Is that one yours? You can order from them by using their ref - it acts as a link to a part-completed application form. Same fees as GRO. Christine |
