Hi, anyone have any rellies in the above area? I have a book listing probate inventories from 1539-1804. Wish I had some rellies there, it's a good resource. So anyone who needs info let me know. .....Jen

Hi Jen Are there any Watley's mentioned please? Many thanks David

Hi David, no Watleys so far but there is a passing mention of an Elizabeth Meryck marrying a John WADLEY in 1558, Stoke Gifford. Neither Watley nor Wadley have any inventories but they may crop up if, say, someone owed them money. So I am scanning through each inv - bear with me, there are loads. If I were you I would note down the above just in case a connection later emerges. I will update this if I see any more. Jen

Thanks very much Jen. That gives me another parish to check out, as my Watleys just fizzle out in Frampton Cotterell when I get back to the mid 1700s. Much appreciated David

Ok David, checked 'em all and no more mentions of Wadley, shame. Good luck anyway. Jen
