Looks good. http://www(.)lancashire(.)gov(.)uk/education/lro/records/folk(.)asp Finding Folk Finding Folk is a comprehensive guide to our sources for family history and lists our holdings of Anglican, Roman Catholic and Non-Conformist parish registers, bishop's transcripts and all copies thereof. It also includes information on our holdings of probate records, marriage bonds, cemetery records and census records. The online version of the Finding Folk database is currently under development and should be appearing on this site soon...

That's really something to look forward to. I was told that Burnley RC Parish Records were at the Preston Records Office but I've yet to get there to see what they have.

Since there is no (dot)co in the URL you don't need any (.) to post it.... http://www.lancashire.gov.uk/education/lro/records/folk.asp Cheers, Bill Sydney, Australia

Aran, Got all excited and went for a look - I must be a bit thick as I am obviously missing something coz I couldn't find anything new, only some lists of reference numbers etc for microfiche. Have I misunderstood or can we now search for our Salford people on here somewhere? If so, could you tell a thickie how please? Regards, Dea x

Sorry Dea - I was hoping for a searchable database too, but yes it seems to be just a list of holdings of parish registers. Maybe more is to come?
