i have been on the family relatives site and its been a great help with finding my gran but im puzzeled as i can not find any info on her family the keough i have found them on census as being born and living in walsall staffs but cannot find any births or deaths for them if any one has any ideas i would love to hear them

my grandmother was jane keough bn 1913 in walsall could never find a birth for her then on faamily relatives site found her parents marrage in 1914 which enabled me to find my gran as jane whitehouse her mothers maiden name but i cant find her father he was patrick keough bn walsall staffs 1892 his father was also patrick i think bn 1875 walsall his father was james keough bn 1830s ireland he married a catherine bn 1840 but cant find any marrage or anything for any of these any help would be fantastic

Hi Kelly I'm not Irish (well, only a tiny bit) so I have no idea how your surname is pronounced. With all those vowels, it could very easily be mistranscribed or spelt phonetically. It might be an idea to say it aloud and see how someone else would spell it. If your people are not actually born in Ireland, the odds are that they are in hiding somewhere under a name you have not recognised. Good luck!
