Hi Val As I said above, this will is from 1818 which is why I needed the Records Office. National Probate Offices don't hold them from that far back Lou |

If you go in to any probate office in the crown court they have all wills from England and Wales 1855 to 1966 and you can read it there and write down what is wrote saves you money |

Thanks to everyone who helped me on this one. I've had an email today from Worcester Records Office. They do have the will on file and I can have a copy for £3.60! Excellent result! Lou |

I have sent off for two wills at two separate record offices and I only had to send a cheque for £1.50 each time. Regards Jill |

I believe so, Lou - worth googling for their address and emailing them if there's an email address for them. It may depend on the year. I had one from Woodbridge, Suffolk for the late 1700s. :-) Joy |

Joy Dense moment here again....so if the Will is for someone in Worcestershire, I could get a copy from the records office for the area there? Lou |

You can send to the relevant records office, but I can't remember the cost offhand. Joy |

Thanks Zoe Worth a try cos I've found one that I'm sure is connected to my side but I don't have a credit card and the debit card I do have, they don't accept! Lou |

I think you can do it by applying to the office at Holborn - but its more expensive. £5 if I rmember rightly I know that applies for wills after 1858 anyway - not sure if they'd just send you to the website if its aaaavailable on there Z xx |

Does anyone know if its possible to obtain a copy of a Will listed on the above without actually downloading it from the site? Thanks Lou |
