Can any one help please, my grandfather was Harry Greenough born 1901 and I has just found out his parents were James H. and Charlotte should imagine born around 1880. I would like to know the exact year they were born and my ggrandmother's maiden name. Thanks Angie

Angie, You will probably need to buy the marriage certificate to get your great granmothers maiden name. Where did they live? Sam

Hi Angela Would suggest that a starting point might be the 1901 census, if you can't find them as a married couple, then that probably narrows down the search time scale for their marriage - then you need the marriage cert. Trudy

Thats the problem really I dont know where they lived but I am assuming its in Lancashire or Cheshire somewhere. Thanks for your replies, they are very much appreciated Angie :-)

if they lived in leigh lancs found them on the 1901 census it says born about 1874 for both Charlotte and James

they wre living in 46 Battersby Street on the 1901 cenuss if that helps
