Jess, Don't know if this helps - but in Historical Directories, in 1876, there is a Charles Newitt at the Shoulder of Mutton in Welford - given that in 1881 the Charles you are seeking was an Innkeeper, reckon this might be the same bloke!! Maggie

I GIVE UP !!!!!!! I have searched all possible variations that i can think of. Even just put first names and year range with county and still zilch sorry. Maybe they are hiding with my Edward Legassick as i cannot find him either. Good Luck. Alyson

Jenny omited to tell me that in 1881 they were in welford, which i believe is over the county boundry in leicestershire! The wife of Charles Newitt is Nee Jeffcoat, and there are loads of them but they not with them either. Susan may well be the brother of Charles, but Jeffcoat is this girls main line

The only one I can find is Charles Newitt, the Britannia Beer House, Thame, Oxfords, 48yrs. With wife Sarah,48yrs Henry,son,22 Robert,son,13 Sarah,11 Charlotte,8 rg10 1431 Sorry no where near what you need!

I've been through upteen times, person by person born Long Buckby/Northampton/Daventry (reg Area) and even West Haddon, which is the village in between northampton and Buckby., altering the birth year a bit ( and a lot!!) Glad it isn't just me!! jess

Can see any, except maybe Charles Jnr as a servant. Thought they'd be down as Hewitt, but no. Charles not who I thought - down as Harrett, but with 2 brothers and mother Elizabeth. All down as boarders. Elizabeth widowed.
