Am moving back South in two weeks (and one day) and will finally be getting a home computer. Obviously - having been used to a speedy work connection - I want to sign up to broadband so I'm looking for any recommendations or any tales of those 'hidden exxtras' you discover once you're signed up to a contract. I believe (dont quote me) I'm moving into a Telewest area so I'll fall under Blueyonder as the cable package!!! |

Hello Zoe we've got telewest for evrything... tv, computer and phone. We pay about 56?? thats for unlimited calls, unlimited broadband, line rental and the digital tv package ( which in my opinon is rubbish, but lots of cartoons to shut kids up !!!) So can't really help but hope you can sort something soon. Does this mean you've got a comp????:-))) |

Shelli One of the guys in the office is moving to Australia in July and doesnt want to be taking his comp with him so I'm getting a fantastic all singing all dancing Mac G5 at a knock down price. Was just lookingat the telewest service - my only problem is persuadiing mum to switch the phone from BT - but I suppose when I tell her she can yack for free all evening and all weekend she might be keen Zoe |

Hi Zoe Ive been with a company called Metronet for about 6 months now and they are very good. I get all my advise on anything to do with money from the site www dot moneysavingexpert dot com Can thoroughly recommend this site. When you get to the site click on phone and utilities in the left-hand panel and you will then see a special report on Broadband Who Is The Cheapest? Hope this is of help. Sue |

Hi we have wanadoo and its been great. There is a site called uswitch which gives comparisons of all broadband services and works out the best one for you. It does this independently for many other things like energy bills, water bills, phone suppliers, digital tv etc. I used it for my gas and electric energy bills just this morning and found I could save £175 a year by switching to another supplier. If you cant find the site, email me and Ill send it to you. By the way, I just ordered a new pc from Mesh - Ive had this one from them for 6 years and just fancied a super dooper updated flat screen job. They have some really good deals on at the moment. |

Thanks for that everyone. Had a look at uswitch who only seem to give me telewest and ntl options - and I know ntl isnt in my area - maybe i'm doing it wrong!!! Z xx |

Hiya Zoe I use Virgin - mainly because we were looking to move and they don't insist on a contract period (ie you are NOT stuck in a 12 month contract!!) - very fast down load and sooooo easy to get started. I also found their helpline efficient and helpful. And all for 17.99 per month. Hope it helps. |

Hiya Zoe We're with BT - got 1.1 wotsits and it's on 24/7, no limit. We were paying £25 a month but think it's come down in price. Won't know until I look at the next quarterly bill though. We've never had any problems at all with BT (touch wood!). Mandy :) |

Wanadoo rang me the other day. We pay £14.99 per month for their anytime, for another £3 a month they would give us broadband. Sounds good to me especially as it free's up the phone. |
