Evening Christine Thank you for your help and that information on James Tennant. I am still having no joy with the marriage. Never mind these things turn up when you least expect them. Val. |

Hi the James Thomas Tennant death shows up on the local site (http://www.lancashirebmd.org.uk) - with the age, which rather rules him out (except as a lost child): Lancashire Death indexes for the years: 1856 Surname Forename(s) Age Sub-District Registers At Reference TENNANT James Thomas 1 Wardleworth Rochdale W/14/37 Christine |

I'm sure you know this already but just to make sure... Frances would be listed as Tennant in the marriage index for her second marriage. Sorry, got to go. Kate. |

Well that cuts it down to a convenient period. She had a son by James Tennant in 1854, and a daughter by Franky in 1860. Have you found James' death? That could narrow the search even more. |

Hello - I am trying to find a marriage between William Atkinson b. 1814 Leeds occupation Surgeon Frances Elizabeth Gibson b.1829 Gt. Whelnetham, Suffolk. They are shown in 1861 Census in Iver Buckinghamshire with their children Amy and Edith. William E Tennant, Stepson b. 1854 Liverpool was living with them and I found a marriage between Frances and James Tennant in 1852. By 1871 the family had moved to Highweek Devon and three sons had been born, Arthur, Charles and Francis. William was a Surgeon and Magistrate. I can't find William and Frances marriage anywhere am I am hoping some kind researcher can trace it for me. Thanks a lot, Val |
