You would be better off getting the death cert first, as this would give you a date, cause of death and who carried out the inquest. You will then be able to find newpapers reports easier. Julie |

First step would be to find the registration of death in the index. There can't have been (m)any more of the right name and age in the correct area. You can see these at many main libraries or archives for free. A copy of the death certificate will tell you the cause of death and whether there was an inquest. With these dates you will probably find something in the local paper. |

My dad was born in 1933 and his brother Stuart Wallis was about a year younger born in ?Tibshelf, Derbyshire area. Stuart died when he was approx 10 - 11 years old (?1942 -1944) in strange circumstances, he went missing, and his body was found in the garden shed. Dads memory is sketchy & he wasn't allowed to go to the funeral, but thinks he must have been buried at Tibshelf Parish Church. I think this story must have been in local newspapers also. Can anyone help discover what really happend? Regards Trisha |
