Thanks for that ladies. I had a look at the Northumberland FHS and Evening Chronicle website and couldn't think where else to try. Nell, that's my man. I'm in New Zealand, but will try emailing the Library and see if they can help thanks again Sylvia

Sylvia If I'm right, and I think I am (:-)) its not a newspaper article at all. You can use the ref to order the death cert. Where did you get the reference from? nell

Hi Linda Yes, I'm pretty sure this is my relative, right name, right age etc. I really wanted confirmation before sending for the death cert. Sorry for the time delay replying, but sleep, work and a 12 hour time difference can be difficult at times Sylvia

Thank you Anita I believe there is a card index for these obituarys, possibly at the Newcastle Local Studies library, and was hoping if someone was going there anyway they could check this entry for me. Sylvia
