Does no one know? I found it advertised as imminent on one website, but only one, not mentioned anywhere else, so not sure if its true! Don't want to waste money buying FTM 2005 if I can get FTM 2006! Cheers if anyone can help! Sharon |

I don't actually know the answer to your question but will it be that much different from FTM2005? On the website you have found, does it list the features? If so, compare them to that of FTM 2005 and see what the difference is. I can honestly say that I can't think of one single improvement I would like them to make to FTM2005 - It's brilliant already (although I know that as soon as they suggest an improvement, I'll go 'Ooh, what a good idea!!). I agree with Sam. I think FTM2005 is brilliant. But I also know of people who are using much older versions and they are still very happy with them, so I don't suppose that there will be much difference in a version brought out just one year later. Kath. x |

FTM 2006 is due for release on August 17th, according to a message on Ancestry... unfortunately the message didn't indicate where in the world the poster was located. The full version is US$29.95, and upgrades for FTM2005 users are US$19.95 (plus postage). To see what's new, go to.... http://www.genealogy(.)com/soft_ftm_long.html?priority=0000896#whatsnew The Source Usage Report is something I've been wanting for ages! Cheers, Bill Sydney, Australia |

The one thing Id like is a facility to enter birth date AND/OR baptism date. |

With FTM2005 you CAN enter both birth and baptism dates along with a whole host of other things. Kath. x |

Received an e-mail from twr computing saying that the 2006 version will be available here the last week of August. If you go to their web site the details are all on there. Jackie |

Sharon It is already out in the U.S. so I am sure it will be out there any time now. I plan on getting it this week, if you are interested in knowing more about it. Margaret. |
