This could possibly be Annie's birth reference:- Name: Lord, Ann Record Type: Births Quarter: September Year: 1872 District: Rochdale County: Greater Manchester Lancashire Volume: 8e Page: 90 You could order the certificate, but give parents names as Thomas and Emma as checking points. If it's the right one, it will give you Emma's maiden name. Kath. x

No marriage yet for Thomas and Emma on ancestry. Have searched 1850 to 1865

Have found the same family in 1891, but there is a housekeeper with them, but Thomas is still recorded as married. Kath. x

There is an Annie in the 1881 census with father Thomas, married, but no wife listed. Annie's birth is given as c. 1873, Rochdale. Could this be her? Have saved the image if it is. Kath. x
