Perhaps he is mistranscribed as Callaghan? About 70% of the relatives I've found on 1901 have had their names or birthplaces mangled. nell

thanks lesley, but henry was born about 1879 so don't think this one is mine. his occupation on wed cert was fireman(think on trawlers or merchant vessels), thanks again,all help appreciated,quite new to this and computers so bit slow in replying,thanks again xxxx

my greatgrandad henry (harry)gallaghan married elizabeth alice (wilson) in hull east yorkshire in 1904 cannot find either of them on 1901 census can anyone please help! rumour,henry possibly came from ireland,can anyone suggest where to look?thanks xxx
