I am doing my best to find the marriage of Braithwaite Gibson and Elizabeth Sayer........you would think with a first name of Braithwaite it would be easy....forget it !!!!.... on the 1881 census they both give their age as 37....on 1901 he is 57 she is 66........their first child - Felix - another good name to find - is registered in Mar 1866 Auckland 10a 235....why no marriage.....thay were witnesses at the marriage of Ann Sayer & John Megee in Jun 1854 and were unmarried ... maybe they didn't do the deed...maybe they went abroad to the the Seychelles..........maybe..... almost got this line sorted ....but...........any one got a suggestion

Durham North Riding of Yorkshire Volume: 10a Page: 255 The others on the page funnily enough include another Sayer:- William Sayer Ann Atkinsons Sarah Morland Kath. x

Absolutely certain.......on 1881 census she is shown as 'Elizabeth' ..... on 1901 census as 'Betsy'....she is known in the family as Betsy............I have come to the conclusion that there was no marriage..........my ma-in-law will be soooooooooooo upset..........

there were two of them. The one you want is spelt Brathett in 1861, which tells you how he pronounced it. Son of Charles, whose wife is Margaret
