Can anyone help find any background on my Elizabeth Love;;; Elizabeth love on 1881 census Father was Samual Love Elizabeth married Thomas Stroyd West Brom 1871 Approx age on census 1852 Netherton Wocestershire

What did you want to find? Something before 1881? How do you know dads name, have you her marriage cert? Where was she born?

Theres this lot in 1861 which looks like her and family but the father is a James on the census - though there is a bro called Samuel. James is shown as a glover. So the question is - why do you say dad is Sam? or has dad got Sam as a middle name?

You can check out her marriage certificate to find if her dad was the guy we think he was in Worcester, a glover and the father of her husband. You can buy her birth cert to check mums maiden name. If he is down as Samuel on the marriage cert, could be a mistake I guess if her bro was present at the time? Or could be he used his 'posh' first name for the cert? Need to investigate that one.

Looks like she managed to get on the 1871 twice??? Unless we have two closely related Love families in the same area?(Where has the message gone re her working as a governess?) Need to get her birth cert really to check out mum. Have you found mum and dads marriage?

I found this Samuel Love getting married in Kidderminster in 1852 but no sign of a Harriet - so could this be Elizabeths Dad? Heather, sorry went to look through all papers on Stroyd/Love and havnt got M/C Samual comes from the LDS site so going by some of the things I have read on these boards that could be wrong will have to send for cert Thanks for your help thought x
