Could this be a birth for Elizabeth? Name: Stych, Elizabeth Record Type: Births Quarter: March Year: 1853 District: Wolverhampton County: Shropshire Staffordshire West Midlands Volume: 6b Page: 378 If you are buying the marriage certificate you'll get a better idea whether a transcripion error has occurred. Once you've got the certificate (assuming you have a GRO copy) a local search in parish records may help too. Pete
