I had an email from Ancestry last week informing me that the 1851 census would be available very soon and to click a tick box if I wanted an email for when it was up and running. Carol |

Jean you dont get swamped with mail, you can choose a weekly or monthly update and I find them very useful as they tell you what new bits have been added to ancestry or what census have been updated. |

Jeannie, i would imagine that when it is accesable, those that have had notification of it, will not exactly keep quiet - they'd better not!! Somehow i guess we'll know because i guess there will be people jumping up and down in jubilation! Jess x |

If you want ancestry newsletters go to your account and then click on something like 'communication preferences' and just click on the box there. |

I just went on, no sign of 1851 BUT a message to me on the home page saying 'We have been trying to contact you through this email address ................Please confirm this is your correct email address' Weird. Perhaps they are going to tell me when 1851 will be on. I clicked on the tab saying yes it was my address and have just looked at my hotmail and they have sent me a mail, saying please click here to confirm this is your email address???? Done it. Waiting to see why they needed it. |
