I have a Ruth Henelly Born 1856 Manchester Married Andrew Henellyin W/Derby in 1877 living at Kew St on 1891 census Does not seem to be on 1901 census but i can only think she died. I have tried to find her but cannot. Help Please..

Where have you looked for the possible death ? FreeBMD and/or Ancestry (both free to search) and 1837online (pay per view site ) Dancer :-)

D/Dancer i tried these but couldnt see her iam only thinking Ruth died round that time.

Pat i had got it wrong she wasnt there on 1891 it was 1881 32Reading St St Kirkdale Lancs.

On the image for 1891, Andrew says that he is married not a widow. I found this in 1891, Ruth Henley, servant in Bootle, born 1857 in Manchester. It says on the image that she is married. Pat

It could just be that she was working on the night of the census. I cant find any of them in 1901 yet. Have you? Pat

Pat they arnt on but in 1903 andrew son of Ruth got married and andrew father was on wedding Cert..

where did he marry? Ok got it, What do you mean father was on it? A witness or just in the space where it says fathers name? Pat

Not as a witness down as father addy for groom was 39 audley street bootle.

This is the closest match I can find in 1901, Andrew Henny b 1846 Ireland Tottington Andrew b 1880 Annie b 1887 Frank b 1890 Hanor b 1851 Kate b 1874 Maggie b 1872 Mark b 1888 Mary b 1893 Thomas b 1878 Maybe Ruth did die and Andrew remarried Hanor? The other children could be hers from a previous marriage. Pat
