How do you go about finding relitives in the USA Sean

Sean Living relatives or dead relatives? Any idea when or where? nell

Hi i am looking for a Sidney Harrold Parrott born in 1882 in Lementon spa warwickshire England, I found him in New York in 1920 with a wife Catherine aged 36 and they son Harold aged 11, Sidney apears to have emigrated to the USA in 1901! But after 1920 i can not seam to find him or the family. I am also looking for the where about of my Great Aunt Kitty Kirwan as she was a Acctress in the 1930s and then she seams to have just vanished she was born in 1875 in Dublin so we think she went to the USA in about 1900. Sean Try Google - Search Engine. Search for : 'Kitty Kirwan' actress I can't seem to find the tiscali one mentioned , or a good personal Bio for her, but there are numerous mentions of her filmography -this is from one of them. She would have been abt 72 in 1949 - and my impression is these movies were UK made, the 1949 one was for Rank - so my view is she did not go to, or at least did not remain in USA - maybe Scotland though, if you don't trace her in England or Ireland. Also her records may not be under 'Kitty' - could be Catherine or similar. And also, perhaps not under KIRWAN if she was legally married or widowed when she died. Thanks Merry i found that as well thanks and i will send for that!. But from what My late Dad could tell me she emigrateid to the USA in about 1900s! but that is all i no, so am having difficataly finding her. Sean

Thanks Anne for the info on the films but still having trudal findinding her as do'not no if she married as dad only new her madian name ie Kirwan and he never meat her,he was only told she went to the USA. I will try and look in Scotland just in case. Sean

Sean, I suggested this before when you raised the query several months ago - you're best bet would be to contact the Theatre Museum in Covent Garden and ask if they could look up to see if they have any details on her. They have a very extensive collection of books about actors in film and theatre which would cover both UK and USA Zoe

Hi they just to let you no i think i have found Sidney Harold Parrott and family on the IGI site also think i have found Son Harold Parrott and his Wife and her side of the family so no need to look for them!. Just need help with Kate Kirwan born 11 march 1875!. Sean
