thanks merry adas maiden name was roberts it will be a long hall to find out if they had children togeth cus i have no idea angie xx

It will not be easy.....You would have to trawl the GRO indexes through all the Jones for each quarter from 1920, looking for any births where the mothers maiden name was given as .....um..............whatever Ada's maiden name was..........ie her name before she was Mrs Rodds. I can't remember if her maiden name was something ordinary or not. If it's Smith, then you would obviously have trouble finding the right births!! In any case, it could be an expensive and time consuming process (because there are so many births with the name Jones) Merry

can any one give me any tips on finding out if george and ada jones had children i know ada had a daughter my nan from her first marriage any help greatly recieved angie xx

thank you so much kath,thats brill ada was my ggrand mother i know she was married before to frederick rodds but he died in the great war in 1915 they had 2 children one died at birth and the other was born just before frederick was killed.some one off here told me that ada re-married in 1920 and was curious to find out his name i now have my nan marrying a jones my ggrandmother marrying a jones and me also married a jones how mad is that thanks again kath

His name is George E. Jones, married to Ada Rodds. The reference is:- Sept. qtr. 1920, Birmingham, 6d, 938. Kath. x
