Right, I managed to get the marriage certificate of John Mapp and Ivy May. It showed his father was a George Mapp - coalminer. He was still alive in 1916 I assume as Ivy May's father has (deceased) and he doesn't. Well can I track them down.....can I heck as like. We know John was born 1889 - 1893 ( put down as different age to what we thought). So should be on 1901 with his Dad George, but can't find them. Really stuck and brain is slowly turning to mush with these guys. Can anybody save me????!!!!!

What county where they married in? may give a clue where they were born.

They were married in Milton, Kent. Two of their children were born in Biggleswade.

That one has cropped up. The only problem is he would have been 11 when he got married. Been suggested that I go forward - find his death and then back again.

There is a John MAPP in prison in Canterbury Kent. His age is shown as 20 in the 1901 census, born Ormskirk Lancs. Too old?? His occupation is shown as seaman RN so he may be shown on the PRO documents online database too. Update This one is found in the 1891 with his family. father is William so not him!

Have you found Ivy May in 1901 ( what is her fathers name ) John might be close !
