Hi Annie Rn, That is why I restrict my GR Tree to relations who have at least a drop of the same blood, plus their spouses. In my offline Tree I have a Family Tree of over 11,000 names which includes my ex-wife's Tree plus other ancestral in-laws and their descendants and sometimes ancestors. If I were to add the Pattenden Tree to mine which would only connect by one marriage it would give me a total of over 30,000 names. |

Well done Jim. Who do you add to your tree? I know to put on grandparents, greatgrandparents etc but who else goes on. I don't want to end up with half the population of the west country. I have a couple of links to the roots web world connect tree so could add several thousand distant relatives. |

June, I have a Sarah Lewis in my offline Tree. She was born about 1780 and married William Pearson in 1801. She was the daughter of Benjamin & Sarah. Any link? (Well it's always worth a try!) As to keeping, filing and FINDING information again. I must confess I have great difficulty. |

I keep seeing on ancestry that you can download forms to help you record stuff but Im sure Id forget to fill them in or lose them when I had. I never used to be this disorganised. It must be hormonal, I hope. |

Heather, I know what you mean. I'm always going over old ground. Trouble is I like doing the searches but don't much like the filling in of records. My son thinks I should get on with proper research and stay off the message boards, but I think I'm addicted. Kath. x |

Been there, done that. Lol. I have been working on my Family Tree since the late 1960s. Now that we have t'internet it certainly makes searching easier, especially as others working the same lines can find out who we are looking for. happy hunting. jim |
