Michelle Think the best bet would be save all this info and try to find the marriage cert of Harold Beatty and his wife. And from that get his fathers name so you can cross reference info on certs Zoe

Or he could have fibbed about his middle name confused now!! Zoe

Ok Pete he may have fibbed about his age at one stage in life and stuck with it Zoe

Zoe, there isn't one on Family Relatives for 1913. Neither is there one in Dover or anywhere else in Kent. I have only checked BEATTY and not BEATTIE however. Pete

Is there a Harold J Beatty in Dec qtr of 1913 because if not he may have just fibbed about age and the person that registered him gave the date they thought Z

Do you know when your grandma and grandad were married? Then as Kate says you could get the cert and clarify things Zoe

If you can get a copy of their marriage certificate, it may give you his age when they got married. Also, as Zoe says, if you can get his death cert it should give you his age at death (or even his date of birth, depending on how long ago he died.) Otherwise you would just have to keep searching the quarters, but I don't see how you could have used up all your credits just searching 5 years - that should only take up 20 credits. If it has taken more than that, tell us how you are searching so we can give you some tips. Kate.

Do you know when he died as that may help to find his birth year? Zoe
