Yes, I have this problem periodically as well - it comes and goes. And I never, never link to any site via an email message, so it is not because I am doing that. Afraid I have just put it down to yet another of GRs little idiosycrasies. I shall be interested to hear the explanation they give you, Dea. Tina

I've been having this problem too - I didn't click on the link and open them by mistake, and no one else has access to my account - have reported the problem, but have yet to hear of a solution.

I've just encountered the same problem. Luckily, I check my e-mail on that account every day.

Yes Peter, BUT, the thing is I didn't click on the link from the e-mail - I never open them from there - This is happening when I just open up GR normally - That's the strange thing. I could understand it if I had opened the mail from my browser. Dea

I doubt if there is anything that can be done. If you click in the link in your personal email then it opens GR using your default browser and takes you straight to the messages. This triggers GR to think you have read the mesage.

Yes, I've had this problem too. I think it is usually if I have more than 1 new message it will show all the others as having been opened already when I open the first one. I will be interested to see GR's response. Kate.

I contacted GR this morning about this problem and have ALREADY had a very prompt reply - from Estelle, who is now looking into the problem for us. - (Thank you Estelle). I will post details of any further response I receive regarding a solution. Dea x

Yes, it happens to me too! I actually posted a thread a while back suggesting folks check their messages as you can easily miss one.

No, I don't click on the link, or open the message in my server. I simply open up GR in the normal way and the message does not show up as new. Dea

I think that if you click on the link to GR, even if you don't follow it through from your mail server, that will 'open' the message, even if you haven't read it. The email link takes you to the version of GR with all the ads, so I tend to avoid it, but can't resist the opportunity to peep at the email to find out who has contacted me, with the result that I often discover less new messages than I had expected.

Hi, I have noticed recently that when I open my mail server in the mornings I often have a message to say I have been contacted by someone via GR. I then open GR to find that I have no new messages, YET, when I go into my messages, the message is there but it looks as if I have already read i. At first I thought it must just be me being forgetful but it happened again this morning and I have definitely not rear this one before. I am concerned that I will miss someone's message and not reply. Does this happen to anyone else? Dea x
