I don't think the bit I want is missing as the enumeration districts for the area appear to be complete. nell |

Veronica Thank you for your continuing help. Yes I did go through the enumeration districts, but one of them took me straight to the census pages, one of them is a tally sheet, so they weren't any use. The ones that covered Playhouse Yard don't give the numbers, and Playhouse Yard is on at least 2 different enumeration districts, one was southside and appeared to be odd numbers only. The other one had a few households, then another street altogether, then some more, but I know I haven't found all the houses, including no. 26. Thanks anyway! I keep feeling there must be a simpler way! nell |

Have you tried looking for perhaps a name that appeared above or below them on the 1851 census to see if they appear on the 1861. Or perhaps he was INSIDE again and Caroline and children where with her family. What was her maiden name? Just a thought. Veronica in Canada |

Glenys and Heather Thanks for looking. This is driving me nuts. I need the 1861 to confirm family members. I think I will just have to go through all the census pages for the area - but I might wait till I get up to London. It's easier going through microfilm than waiting for Ancestry to load each page!!! nell |

I even had a look at Caroline ? Theres dozens of CR inmates in lunatic asylums and prisons. I wish they had been a bit more accurate. Sorry Nell |

Hi, Nell - tried Robbins, rather than Robins, in both London and Middx, (you never know! lol) but no joy. Didn't do an extensive search though - maybe they're hidden there somewhere. Frustrating, isn't it! x |
