Hiya have you done a search like you normally do get to the results page scroll down to name box and above box to the right you will see.....Try our complete image search of the England & Wales, Birth-Marriage-Death Indexes. click on this and you will get to the images has to be Ancestrydotcodotuk not dotcom. It's amazing isn't it? Don't you think they would put it on the home page and easy to find? Lit up with lights and all that!! It was the same with the 1851 census. Are they shy about it for some reason? Kat

How sad is this? There have to be IMPORTANT events I need to look up, but like everyone else, I'm busily finding myself and other family members - everyone that I've already got the certs for. By the time I've remembered what I REALLY wanted to look up, it'll be subscription only again.

From your homepage click on England and Wales BMD index. On the next page go to 'search the complete images' click on the relevant link i.e.births enter a surname and the year you are after. Click on view image then at the top where it says you are here (ie 1923 JFM quarter) click on the year. this will bring up the whole alphabet to chose from. Pick your letter (ie T) then guess roughly how many pages in you need and enter that in the page_ of 56 or however many. Hope this makes sense but I can't think of a better way to describe the process.

Hi Thanks for all your replies and advice. After searching with christian name and surname my quarter just does not appear on ancestry!! Next thing i did was just to try my surname and lo and behold all the quarters appeared ! So maybe if anybody else had the same trouble as me this tip may work for them. Sue x

Hi Susie Thanks for the Tip. I entered just the surname and yes it brought up all the Quarters I had missing when I had searched 1st time round. How strange. Kat
