I have for the last week been trying to search on the Family Search(.) Org LDS site. For some reason I keep getting 'Page Expired' is this me or are other people having problems ?I can just do one search at a time. Maurice |

Seems ok to me. Is it a bookmarked page? Perhaps you need to rebook mark it. |

works fine for me. Have you tried the 'back door' the Hugh Wallis site? http://freepages(.)genealogy(.)rootsweb(.)com/~hughwallis/IGIBatchNumbers(.)htm Claire |

This is the message I am getting:- Warning: Page has Expired The page you requested was created using information you submitted in a form. This page is no longer available. As a security precaution, Internet Explorer does not automatically resubmit your information for you. To resubmit your information and view this Web page, click the Refresh button. Maurice |

Claire, The same thing is happening on the Hugh Wallis Site. So it is me ? I am getting the same message there. I have to click refresh, then Retry after every search. The problem has only arisen recently. Could some settings be wrong on my computer? Maurice |

Maurice - the site has been playing up for me for quite a few weeks. After you have viewed a records you want, instead of pressing the back arrow try the 'search results' message at the top left of the screen instead. This should take you back to the list of records without having to go back to the search screen and start again. |

I had the same problem some time ago. I switched from Internet Explorer to Mozilla Firefox and now have no problems. Joyce |

I've been trying with Internet Explorer and Netscape and I get DNS entry failed. Has anyone else been able to get on to the IGI site? |

No problems at all, and that is with Internet Explorer. But, read Angela's post re NOT using the back button. I had the page expired message whenever I used the back button, but have no problems with a further search if I use 'return to search' or 'refine search' - these are at the top left or top right respectively, in small print, and you click on those. Good luck. Jay |

The problem with the Back button will happen if you run out of space for saving fetched pages as temporary files. Try Tools Internet Options General tab Temporary Internet files section Delete Files button Deleting these files is one of the jobs on Judy's maintenance list, but Judy gives a different way of doing it |

Thanks for the tip Robin. However, it doesn't seem to help in this instance - have just deleted all my temporary internet files and experimented by going into family search. Did one search and used the back button, got same message. It only seems to happen when I'm in this site, AND since they did their latest maintenance/update, so think it must be particular to this site. Regards, Jay |
