I have found my great grandparents - Michael MacMahon and his wife on the 1901 census but I'm struggling to read her name and find her elsewhere. His name is Michael MacMahon born Ireland 1848. Her name looks like Pecela or Pecola, born in 1858 in Sheffield, South Yorkshire Daughter Margaret born 1883 I think in Denaby which is Rotherham, South Yorkshire. Margaret married my grandfather Charles Ward on 28/09/02. Can anyone help me try and find her correct name? Many thanks Jayne |

I just re-read it and dont reckon it is that name on the copy of the original it looks quite different and I have tried to find her name elsewhere and nothing so far reckon its been mistranscribed. |

That looks like them Elaine - the places of birth are definitely right and the years of birth are nearly the same. Pricilla sounds more likely that Pecola!!! Is it free to look up this census? Could I access it and print a copy of the page out? Thank you all for this it is very much appreciated! Jayne |

I can't believe how easy you all make it look. I've been trying to find anything on Michael and Priscilla (now I know her name!) for over 6 months and you guys found it in 10 minutes. Thank you - you're all brilliant! Jayne |
