start another window, go to the main search page and use the thing on the right hand side to View Your Recent Activity Not only do they keep track of what you've been doing for you, they'll tell anybody else as well

Is there not a refine your search 'form' if you scroll down the page?

Jelly Report 27 Jan 2006 17:11

It seem sto have got rid of all the 'refine your search' boxes for me, so I have to keep going right back to the original page - driving me mad Julie

If you look carefully there's a little rectangle around the last one you looked at. Gwynne

Or if you use the back button to get back to the results after seeing image you can always press the forward button(next to back button) and then you can see what the last page you were on.. I figured this out after I kept forgetting which page I had just viewed..Hope this helps Zoe

I usually print up the page and then tick them off - not too costly if you use the back of scrap letters! Saves time in the long run Allie

Hi all I'm sure that when I first went on Ancestry the last thing I'd clicked on was high-lighted. Perhaps I imagined it as it certainly isn't now! Would be very useful though..... Allie

Give me your email address and I will scan you a form from Family Tree Mag, great for search BMD's. Irene

I had that problem too, but found that doing it a year at a time meant you only had to remember each quarter, and it doesn't take long to go back and change the last digit or two on the search date. Even if you forget, you only have to look at a maximum of three quarters you have already seen. But I agree, would be nice if the results changed to red or something when you have looked at them. Roger Beat me to it , Merry, :)

I've found doing a year at a time is much less stressful! Merry

This is driving me nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But can’t find the ‘scream’ thread that was on here earlier to add to!!!!!!!!! I love the fact that I can now search BMD’s with my Ancestry membership rather than having to ‘pay-per-view’ on 1837, BUT, at least if you’re having to do a ‘trawl’ on 1837, when you return to the search page, the pages you’ve already viewed are highlighted. For the second time today, had a search results page up for a 5 year period, the phone went, answered it, went back to the page and could not remember where I’d got to – short of writing it all down laboriosly in longhand it’s nigh on impossible to do – minor gripe I know, but it’s driving me mad today!!!!!! There, that’s off my chest, feel much better now!! Looby
