I'm trying to find my ggrandparents - parents of Ernest Thompson. I've found 2 births for right year in Rotherham - 1918. Ernest A Thompson - mother Allen Ernest Thompson - mother Turner Tried to find a marriage between a Walter Thompson (father) and one of these women. I found a Walter Thompson, marriage September 1910 in Rotherham 9c 1230, no spouse. Found an Ann Turner, September 1910 in Rotherham 9c 1316 with no spouse. My query is could this be Ernest's parents and would they appear on separate page numbers? Any thoughts anyone? Jayne

Thanks Dea - blows that theory away. Will have to keep looking although after 2 days solid looking at marriage registers I'm losing my mind. Thanks again Jayne x

They should be on the same page number if they married each other. Kath. x

Not a lot! From Ernest's marriage certificate he was 22 when he married on 4th January 1941 and living at 17 Broad Street, Parkgate. His fathers name on certificate is Walter Thompson, Miner. That's it! Jayne
