Kat I commiserate. This happens quite a bit, probably because people don't understand how the boards work. nell

bumping this up in hopes that those who ask for the same thing on two threads might read this and realise just how frustrating it is. The last 3 I've done today are also on another thread. Thanks Kat

And the trouble is there is so little difference between tips and records boards...... the grey line is becoming more and more blurred, imho.

no probs Christine, I think some people just aren't aware how frustrating this is. I do remember doing this myself when I first started on here so you aren't alone LOL!! Kat

perhaps if the people who do look-ups are reading this, they could ignore requests posted on this board in future? (a bit tongue in cheek LOL)

I find the same thing that......and they post a message and while your looking you come back post a reply to find they have deleted their orginal request. Grrrrrrrrrr !!!!!!!!!

No, i wont ignore anyone! sorry if someone feels more commfortable posting on here , rather than records , then so be it, i am happy to answer their request. If Howebvre i spot a multi request i do either point this out to the poster on the thread and that it is NOt a good idea , or point it out in such a way that researcher do not duplicate the look up There is a fine line between tips and records and if tips was simply tips, the board would hardly ever move. jess
